I will be reaching out offline to discuss some of your additional concerns, but did want to address the longevity concerns for anyone else with similar questions. Industry standard on flags being flown sun up to sun down every day is actually only 90 days. We do guarantee the life of our Beacon and Patriarch branded flags for 6 months and many of our customers do see a longer lifespan than that--it just depends on your local weather conditions. It does also look like your previous flag was cotton, so this new polyester you have purchased should last longer as the cotton is not intended for long term outdoor use. We do also have our veteran and first responders discount of 15% every day by using code SERVICE15 at checkout. I do see that you did get 15% off your order as well. Again, please watch for additional communication from me offline to discuss further. Thank you for choosing AmericanFlags.com
