Things started going down hill when I recommended a business contact for aspire - and they tried to get out of paying the commission. Very embarassing experience for me with my business contact. Then the cashback went from 3% on high spend to 1% now. Recently they charged me >100 SGD for an international transfer. They then held the transfer for some obscure reason and It took customer service more then a week to find out. Meanwhile we couldnt pay our business partners. They also dropped our account manager without notice and and and. Throughout the process, I repeatedly received requests for additional documents. Requirements changed, and documents that had previously been accepted were later rejected, leading to yet more requests. I exchanged at least 20 emails during this process. What frustrated me most was receiving further document requests even after being assured that the previous request would be the last. I understand that opening an account involves compliance checks. However, in my experience, Aspire’s process was inconsistent, unprofessional, and showed little respect for my time. Ultimately, I concluded that Aspire was not the right service for our company. Aspire spent weeks requesting documents, contracts, bank statements and detailed explanations about Lovinapple LLC. I provided everything they asked for, repeatedly. After all that, they approved and opened the account, only to restrict it almost immediately and then close it. No one contacted me beforehand to explain any issue or request clarification. The closure notice simply referred vaguely to their Acceptable Use Policy without explaining what the alleged problem was. What makes the experience worse is the amount of sensitive personal and corporate information they collected throughout the onboarding process, only to close the account immediately after approval. They are also holding a USD 1,000 balance and stated that a transfer fee may be deducted when returning my own funds. The whole process has been extremely unprofessional, inconsistent and a complete waste of time.
