There are a few things that can affect a bill even with reduced usage of lighting: delivery charges from CenterPoint account for 50% of the bill these days (these are out of our control), high outdoor temperatures that make your AC unit run constantly to keep your space cool, or it's possible there's a meter read discrepancy. Rather than guess, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team at support@bkvenergy.com directly so they can pull up your account and walk through the breakdown with you line by line.
