BOROUX systems use a continuous-fill design: water filters from the top chamber down into the bottom chamber, so the top should only be refilled once there's available capacity below it. Overflow occurs when water is poured into the top faster than the bottom chamber has room to receive it. The water level spigot is an optional accessory that gives a quick visual read on the bottom chamber's fill level — it adds convenience, but it isn't a required safety component, which is why it isn't included standard on every unit. That said, I hear you on wanting that visibility built in from the start, and I'll be passing this feedback to our product team directly. I also want to address the phone calls. Talking over a customer and placing blame without listening isn't the standard we hold our team to, and I'm sorry that happened twice in a row. I'll be reviewing those calls with our customer service leads so we can coach on this.
