Yes, you can’t drive with our international license in the UK, if this is the only document you have with you while driving. Same works for all other IDPs and countries.


1. Please note your IDP is not  a stand alone document. You must carry your valid national driving license with you every time you drive — the main point in your case.

2. Visitors to Great Britain holding a valid non-EU driving license can drive any type of small vehicle (e.g., cars or motorcycles) listed on their license for up to 12 months from the date they last entered the country. IDP is mandatory in your case, as you national DL is not in Latin alphabet.

PayPoint offers a paper document with translation into a few languages and zero digitalization. Probably peace of paper really costs £5.50. Also, they do not offer any shipment.
