The reason I dont give you more stars:
1 - We didn't even finish setting up our Shopify store, we added product but never learnt about creating collections, a catalog, how we link the home page Highlighted items to the actual items.
2 - Douglas with his teaching was a bit too sporadic, the program is so large and incorporates so many details that it missed struicture to it. We jumped from setting up a product, to product research,to facebook ads etc without even having setup our store. So we cant even implement the teachings.
3 - I get the feeling a LOT of people were lost throughout the entire bootcamp, due to the teachings having no structure.
4 - Such a large course needs structure, as we often jumped back and forward through the teaching manual.
I did enjoy the course, and I did learn a lot, just not 100% happy with the delivery and structure of the course. And going forward I believe it needs to be changed. And to be honest, it turned me off the mastermind group a little.
Overall, I am happy with my experience :D
This is my review on 8-10 Jan Ecom Domination Bootcamp
Speak too fast is still acceptable, but the demonstration always too fast that I can't follow. But he kept going on as 20 persons out of 145 persons was replying. That means may be not so many students can catch up. My tuition fee just go to the ocean. I get only 10-20% which I can still get from the book. Then a tutor means no help to me. The Zoom was always running slow when I tried to ask or response. I was using Window 7 system. I replaced a new one with Window 10 and higher speed last night (is cost me HK$4,000). The IT guy said it may be the probem on your side since the slow down only happened on Zoom, not other web site or any software in my new computer. That's sucks.
Pros:
1. Detailed set up and demos on Shopify Set up
2. Concepts explaining the FB ads and methodology
3. Superb first day
Cons:
4 Too much drag from Day 2.
5. Too much time and effort spent on Up-selling Masterclass
6. Came here to know the stuff needed to start e-commerce store and business but too much noise on motivation, past stories and extra emphasis on Masterclass up-selling
7. Didn't find anything new or learnt anything extra which is not there in Udemy course of $20 SGD, in-fact that course is even more informative than this bootcamp.
8. Finally today the instructor saying that if you dont follow please refer the videos which would be shared later is unacceptable as the time management has gone for a toss and too much time was spent on up-selling masterclass, then what is the point in us spending $700+ which we can get from $20 SGD?
I felt that 1 day session is wasted on sharing about the success stories. That can be part of the free workshop. IThis paid 3 day bootcamp would be better if this workshop able to assist us to publish our first product in shopify with active ads in FB.
LITTLE IN DIELEMA .BEST PART IS ONLY MARKETING PART.WHERE I LEARN BUT COMAPRISION TO COST IT IS EXPENSIVE.I HAVE WEB DESIGNER BACKGROUND AND ALREADY HAD SHOPIFY STORE AS WELL. BUT FAILED BEFORE .HOPEFULLY NOT THIS TIME FINGER CROSS. BUT THIS IS 3.5 STAR
.I WILL IMPLIMENT THESE THINGS ON NEW STORE AND IF THIS WORKS DEFINETLY WILL CONTNUE TO MASTERMIND CLASS FURTHER. BECAUSE FINANCIALLY ITS WORST HIT OF COVID TO MY INCOME.
My questions were not answered by the support team. Douglas was fest in his presentation and sometimes it's so difficult to follow. I really struggled in catching up with the class even after going through the menu.
Loved the overall bootcamp! However I think it would be better for future bootcamps to have some transparency over the true cost of the Mastermind program as it seemed like a merit based program. Aside from that I have really enjoyed everything the bootcamp had to over and feel ready to take on the ecommerce world!
This is my review for the EDB Bootcamp and Overall it was a great experience, I got to learn new things, skills and principles of the eCommerce Dropshipping. My coach Douglas was entertaining and joked. There were even surprises such as Steve Tan and Kennedy Chew appearing. Despite the confusion of the new things I have not learnt, it meant that I will learn something new yet useful.
Absolutely fabulous bootcamp jam-packed with an insane amount of valuable information and learning. Douglas is a super energetic trainer, full of knowledge. 4 Star review purely as Douglas' excitement means he speaks just a bit too fast that his accent makes it hard to understand at times. His knowledge makes it totally worth the effort to follow along though! Highly recommend this course!
Learnt a lot from the bootcamp. Douglas and team were very helpful and support given was good. To be very honest, the 3rd day was a bit rushed so might have been better to include an extra day but overall great experience.
Very informative, highly relevant information for beginning the e-commerce journey
An intense three-day bootcamp with very informative, highly relevant information for beginning the e-commerce journey. Douglas had high energy,
but was also sometimes difficult to understand when he was going so fast! It definitely shows his passion though.
Having a hardcopy of the manual sent out was great; the content was organised well. There are some bonuses that are definitely worthwhile too during the delivery of the training itself.
Thank you to the LeapVista team on the chat and WhatsApp! All the best!
Douglas and team did an amazing job on guiding us (a lot of whom are complete beginners at eCommerce) through the bootcamp. One thing is that the content could be more condensed (go faster) but it was a valuable session that covered a lot of content. Thankyou!
Attending the 3 day bootcamp the experience was great. Opened my eyes to a lot of opportunity, followed steps how to build an online store and launch Ads.
it is very good to have invited speaker but just that she speaks very fast and didn't managed to catch some of her speech. Need to view the playback to understand
