Arriving with two years of middle school Mandarin, the teachers met her at her level, introduced her to new aspects of grammar, and overall helped her fluency. Our daughter also had a great experience with the homestay that Mandarin Zone staff arranged for us. She was welcomed by a kind, warm family, and gained insight and independence by living with a family and commuting to school. Her safety was assured at all times. We also had a fantastic experience as parents joining our daughter on weekend and some afternoon excursions. The staff was responsive, caring, and knowledgeable and the location very convenient. Highly recommended! > 商家回复 (2026-08-28): Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience with us! It was a pleasure to welcome your daughter to Mandarin Zone. We’re so happy to hear that she enjoyed her classes, made progress in Mandarin, and grew in confidence. We’re also glad she enjoyed her homestay and experienced everyday life with a local Chinese family. We truly appreciate your feedback about our staff, her experience, and the excursions. We’re especially happy that you were able to join some of the activities as a family. We loved having your family with us and hope to see you again in Beijing! The Mandarin Zone Team ### ★★★★★ An Amazing & Welcoming Learning Experience - Sandy · 2026-07-10 Both my boys age 4 & 6 had attended 2 weeks summer holiday program (1-1 private class) here and the progress was amazing. The teachers used engaging activities like songs, flashcards, and crafts that kept learning fun especially for my younger boy. He refused to speak Mandarin on the first day and at the end of the program he was singing poem songs and conversing in Mandarin with the locals. They did a wonderful job communicating with parents and sent daily videos on their learnings and activities. The person in charge Ms Margaret was extremely helpful and kind to assist us on our accommodation and other adhoc matters. The teachers were very experienced and passionate as well. My boys love the teachers and look forward to go to class everyday. Their confidence in Mandarin grew so much in such a short period of time. Highly recommend this centre to any parent looking to support their child's language journey. > 商家回复 (2026-07-11): Thank you so much for this wonderful review! My kids, ages 8 and 9, started the program with zero Mandarin knowledge, but in just one single week, they learned an incredible amount. They thoroughly enjoyed the well-structured days, which combined engaging language lessons in the morning with exciting cultural activities in the afternoon. The teachers kept them completely focused and happy throughout the week. We are highly impressed with their progress and are already planning our next trip back to Beijing to enroll them again! > 商家回复 (2026-06-14): Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! It was a perfect one-week experience — mornings filled with Mandarin lessons, and afternoons exploring the city’s rich culture as our teacher guided us through the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven. From the very beginning, the teachers and admin staff were kind, patient, and accommodating. Margaret LaoShi was especially thoughtful and polite. I was touched by the way she respectfully addressed me using 您 throughout our entire time there. One day, she even went above and beyond by helping me order rain gear when I mentioned I was worried about possible rain during our last day trip to Universal Studios. Margaret LaoShi truly 用心 — she puts great care and heart into everything she does. Her dedication and thoughtfulness really reflect the spirit of Mandarin Zone. Thank you so much Margaret LaoShi. All the teachers we met were warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about teaching Mandarin. Their enthusiasm made learning both enjoyable and inspiring. Mandarin Zone Team ### ★★★★★ I appreciated the one on one lessons! - Bill · 2025-11-20 I appreciated the one on one lessons which I took for over one year. The lessons progressed at my pace and focused on my own needs and interests. As I gained ability I was able to venture out independently and navigate my way on errands, sightseeing, shopping and dining. My teacher used a variety of methods to assist me with committing words, pronunciation, and phrasing to memory and was infinitely patient. I especially enjoyed the conversational portions of lessons when I would be prompted to describe my weekend, what I was intending to do after class or travel past and future. Interesting as well is how the way in which Mandarin is spoken increased my awareness as to Chinese culture and way of thinking. I’m currently taking a break from lessons as my travel schedule has me away more than home. I intend to return to Mandarin Zone in future and continue my studies. Great experience! Thank you! > 商家回复 (2025-11-22): Thanks, Bill! :) Thank you for sharing your journey! We're thrilled to hear how much your Mandarin has grown over the past year and that you're using it confidently in real-world situations. We look forward to welcoming you back to Mandarin Zone soon! 谢谢! Mandarin Zone Team ### ★★★★★ I really enjoyed how my teacher helped… - Filippo · 2025-11-19 I really enjoyed how my teacher helped me increase my mandarin level. At first we did a free trial lesson and then a free level assessment one. During lessons we tried to do as much conversation as possible, in order to use the newly learned words and grammar in real life scenarios. That really adds great value to the lessons in my opinion. A small thing worth mentioning: the classroom is at the 12th floor and to get up you need to get the help of a guard to let you use the elevator > 商家回复 (2025-11-20): Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted that our conversation-focused approach helped you progress in Mandarin. Applying new vocabulary and grammar in real-life scenarios is exactly what we aim for in every lesson! We'll provide clearer building access instructions for new students! Keep up the excellent work! Mandarin Zone Team ### ★★★★★ Mandarin Zone - Perfect Chinese Summer Camp - Kevin M Green · 2025-01-30 · 已验证 My daughter Alice attended Mandarin Zone's four-week summer camp in Beijing in July 2024, and it exceeded all our expectations! The program schedule was thoughtfully designed: Mandarin classes in the morning, followed by Chinese cultural activities and city exploration in the afternoon. The teaching quality was impressive. All instructors are native Chinese speakers with excellent standard Mandarin and rich teaching experience. I was amazed to see my daughter progress from knowing just a few basic Chinese words to being able to have simple conversations with local Chinese children! This practical improvement in language ability was exactly what we hoped for when choosing this program. The cultural experience was incredibly comprehensive. Students visited traditional landmarks like the Forbidden City, Great Wall, and Tiananmen Square, as well as modern art districts and tech parks, experiencing both ancient and contemporary Beijing. The afternoon cultural classes included traditional arts like calligraphy and crafts, allowing kids to gain deeper insights into Chinese culture through hands-on activities. As for the living experience, Beijing as an international metropolis was a pleasant surprise. The city offers not only diverse Chinese cuisines from different regions but also familiar Western restaurants, so my daughter had no issues adjusting to the food. The city's safety level is impressive - we felt completely secure even during late evening activities. I highly recommend this program to parents who want their children to truly improve their Mandarin skills! This summer camp isn't just a language program; it's a valuable cultural immersion experience. I suggest booking early as high-quality programs like this tend to fill up quickly. If time allows, I recommend the full four-week program for optimal learning outcomes. > 商家回复 (2025-02-02): Thanks Kevin! So happy Alice enjoyed her Chinese Summer Camp at Mandarin Zone. We'll strive to make summer camp program better and better! We appreciate your review and hope to see Alice again soon!
