When things go well, they are great. When things do not go well, their customer service is horrible. I ordered PCB's on 6/28. I was promised 48 hours production. I really was not expecting 48 hours, but they advertised it. Production completed 7/2. Item shipped 4 days later 7/6. Shipping is advertised as 6-10 days. Tracking number provided but shows "No information for this shipment". I contacted them after 1 week since the tracking still showed no info. They sent me a link to track which was a link to a PAID subscription tracking service. I, again, asked for a way to track the shipment and was provided a screen shot of the shipment. It showed clearing customs. Since that day, I have asked no less than 5 times for a tracking number I can use with no answer. 1 month later, the status has not changed for me but now NextPCB says the tracking shows that it was delivered and signed for. Of course it was not delivered to me nor signed for by me. A simple useable tracking number could have prevented this negative experience and review. I am editing this. I came home today and this package has finally arrived. The overall fabrication quality is top notch clean silkscreen, precise trace routing, and perfectly aligned solder mask. The packaging was highly secure, protecting the boards perfectly in transit, and the delivery to India was exactly on time. The only reason I'm giving a slight knock on the rating is a minor issue I had during assembly. There were one or two pads where the solder simply refused to stick (poor wetting). It seemed like localized oxidation or a slight issue with the surface finish in that specific spot. Aside from that small pad adhesion issue, the rest of the board soldered beautifully and works perfectly. Overall, a highly reliable manufacturer that I will definitely use again ### ★☆☆☆☆ Classic bait-and-switch pricing and a nightmare to get a refund. - Davud · 2026-05-13 I strongly advise against using NextPCB, especially if you are working with specialized designs (RF boards in my case). I uploaded my Gerber files, received an automated quote of around $350 USD, and paid in full. Instead of starting manufacturing, they went silent. When I reached out about a mysterious duplicate file in my account, support told me it was just a "system issue" and assured me the order was processing. Weeks later, they finally emailed to say their quoting engineer "misread" the process requirements. They demanded a new price of over $1,770 USD—a 500% increase—before they would proceed. I immediately canceled and demanded a refund. Instead of processing the refund, they tried several stall tactics. First, they suddenly offered a new $384 quote (which I rejected, as a price drop that massive meant they were likely compromising on the required materials). Then they asked for my direct bank account details to process the refund, trying to bypass the credit card system, which strips away buyer protection. I had to threaten a formal credit card chargeback and cite standard merchant rules before they finally refunded my original payment, nearly a month after the initial order. NextPCB said they would cover the cost of import duty, but they didn’t. In the end, after 18 days of chasing I was told “order will be destroyed by Chinese Customs”. So, no boards and I am $41.00 out of pocket. I placed the same order with JLCPCB, received the PCB’s 16 days later, total cost with shipping $4.34. If the pcb size is smaller than 10x10mm (such as yours 38.7x5.1mm), the system will prompt that such sizes cannot be directly ordered through the online quoting system. In your order, you modified the parameters and changed the size to 38.7x10mm, which allowed the order to be successfully added to the cart. However, this resulted in a discrepancy between the actual size of the PCB (38.7x5.1mm, as per your Gerber file) and the size you entered. Since smaller PCBs are generally more difficult and expensive to produce, the system automatically detected the size difference and sent you a notification for the additional cost. Inconsistent order parameters When reviewing your order, we found that your file is a 4-layer board design, but you selected the parameters of a 2-layer board, and the TG value is TG150, and the system defaults to TG130. Due to the different production costs of 2-layer boards and 4-layer boards, the system automatically adjusted the price difference. We have already reported this during EQ communication. 2. Difference in the amount of price difference The main reason for the price difference is the difference in inner copper thickness and TG value. Our system defaults the inner copper thickness of the 4-layer board to 0.5oz and TG130, while you require 1oz copper thickness. Although you agreed to adjust the TG value to TG130 in the EQ question, the default copper thickness of 0.5oz was used when recalculating, and your order note requires 1oz copper thickness, so the online price is inconsistent with the required price difference.
