It is lovely to read that your week aboard Ocean Victory was such a special one. Scotland gave us some truly beautiful moments, and I am very happy that the excursions, the excellent food, and the relaxed atmosphere onboard all came together so well for you. The Highland Games on Mull and the early-morning sight of the Old Man of Hoy sound like two very special highlights. Most of all, thank you for your kind words about our crew and team. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality are such an important part of the experience, and I know they will truly appreciate your words. We would be very happy to welcome you on one of our other voyages one day, perhaps to Antarctica or the Arctic. (2026-08-03): Hi Mervyn, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience with a senior member of our team in the mudroom. Even one negative interaction can affect how a voyage is remembered, and this is not how we want any of our guests to feel. As your review does not include the details of what happened, it would be helpful to understand the situation better. You are very welcome to contact me directly at Marc.j@polar-latitudes.com so we can look into it properly and follow up with the right people. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. (2026-08-03): Hi Ocean K , Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed review. It is great to hear how much you enjoyed the Expedition Team and the wide range of knowledge they shared during the voyage. We will be happy to pass your kind words on to Gert, Tania, Sofi, Jenn, Thomas, Brian, Lisa, Janel, Laurence, Mauro, Moni, Sebastian, Alyse, and the rest of the team. Thank you also for mentioning Margarette and Canis. Interpreting scientific presentations live is not easy, and it is good to hear that their work helped our Chinese-speaking guests enjoy and understand the presentations. Your kind words about Jeff are also much appreciated. His experience and willingness to help clearly made a difference during the voyage. We also appreciate your suggestion about offering some presentations directly in Mandarin on future charter voyages. It is a good and practical idea, and we will share it with the team. It was also lovely to read your comments about our Hotel Team and crew. Andy, Stephanie, Virgo, and Chef Li will be very happy to hear that their work was noticed. Chef Li preparing rice porridge for a guest who was feeling unwell is a small gesture, but it shows the care our team and crew try to give every day. We are sorry to hear about the drainage issue in your bathroom. Even though it only happened from time to time, we understand that it was unpleasant. Thank you for mentioning it, and we will share your feedback with the relevant onboard teams. Thank you again for recognizing so many people by name and for sharing both the good parts of the voyage and the areas where we can improve. Feedback like this is very helpful to us. (2026-08-03): Hi Evelyn, Thank you so much for this lovely and detailed review. I am very happy to read that our Expedition Team helped bring the Arctic to life for you, from the wildlife to understanding how sea ice is formed during your Zodiac cruises. Your words about James and Virgo are especially wonderful. Those small, thoughtful touches in the restaurant, remembering where you like to sit and welcoming you with a warm smile each day, are exactly what can make a voyage feel personal. Wildlife always has its own agenda, of course, so while we wish the polar bears and whales had been a little more "cooperative", we are happy the overall experience still gave you some memorable moments along the way.
