This small Kung Fu temple based in an exciting ancient style Chinese village was my home for one month. I learnt so much in that time. 
ShiFu ShiYanHao works tirelessly everyday to provide varied and tailored training from meditation to power-training, mandarin classes to Kung Fu sparring. Every class was challenging and exciting. 
Local children train at this temple too, they are cute but also incredibly strong!

The accommodations are clean and comfortable, every meal was delicious and balanced. I enjoyed bonding with my room-mate, locals and the varied personalities from all over the world who also attended.

Kung Fu is community, I recommend this experience to anyone interested in exploring Chinese culture and learning Kung fu in an intimate setting. 

PS to my blonde/curly hair humans, bring all the hair conditioners!

INCREDIBLE! I came here to train from London and enjoyed my time so much I extended my stay. I have learnt so much in the last 3 weeks and would recommend this experience to anybody interested in martial arts. We train Monday - Friday and master shifu is able to trailer our lessons according to our abilities and needs as we all work at different paces. 
Living situations is comfortable and wholesome, we are fed 3 times a day home cooked healthy meals. There is also plenty of local stores nearby. 
Weekends you can rest or explore the beautiful city.
Overall I have become stronger physically and mentally and would definitely return.

I had a good experience visiting this school with my son. Everything went smoothly. The school operates from Monday to Friday, and there are no classes on Saturdays and Sundays.

It is a great option for foreigners who want to have an authentic experience in China. However, it is important to know that the training is very structured and focused on preparing the body to become stronger and more adaptable. To truly learn, you would need to stay for several months. A short stay is still valuable, as it gives you a general idea of the practice and lifestyle.

For families traveling with children, it is important to note that kids train together with the adults, and there is only one master leading the classes. Also, regarding meals, the school provides one option of food. If your child does not like it, you will need to look for alternatives outside the school — and in the nearby area, options are quite limited.

Overall, this is a unique experience, especially for foreigners looking to understand traditional training in China. Just keep in mind the time commitment and food situation if you are coming with kids.
