We’re sorry this wasn’t what you expected. The 2 Quart Insulated Canteen Covers you ordered are listed in Good condition, and the product description notes that the carry strap is missing on these covers. We try to call that out clearly so customers know exactly what they’re purchasing before ordering. If there’s anything else about your order that wasn’t as described, please reach out to us directly at customerservice@smithssuroplusandsupply.com. We’re always happy to help and want to make sure you receive exactly what you expected. (2026-07-24): Thank you for your review! It means a lot that you remembered Smith’s Surplus after all that time. We’re glad to hear you were happy with the value, quality, and condition of your gear—that’s exactly what our inspection and grading process is meant to deliver. We also really appreciate you recommending us to your friends. Word of mouth is one of the biggest compliments a small business can receive. We look forward to getting you outfitted again on your next mission! (2026-07-24): Thank you for your review, Brian! We’re glad to hear you had a great all-around experience with Smith’s Surplus. We appreciate your support and hope to serve you again soon. (2026-07-15): Thank you for the great review and for coming back to complete that eight-month wishlist! We’re glad you were pleased with the condition of the gear and found several items that appeared unissued. Names and initials are part of the history and authenticity of genuine military surplus, but if you ever decide you’d rather remove them, 90% rubbing alcohol followed by Amodex can often remove permanent marker or at least make it much less visible. We have more cleaning and care tips in our guide here: https://smithssurplusandsupply.com/gear-survival-pro-tips-for-cleaning-military-surplus-gear/ We truly appreciate your first order and look forward to helping with the next one! (2026-07-15): Hi Isaiah, We’re sorry to hear there was something inside the hydration pouch. Please email photos along with your order number to customerservice@smithssurplusandsupply.com so we can inspect the issue and help resolve it. Trustpilot is a review platform rather than a customer service channel, so we’re unable to receive photos or properly investigate an order here. We always encourage customers to contact us directly before leaving a review so we have an opportunity to address any concerns. Once we receive your email, we’ll be happy to take a closer look. We’re glad to hear your ATAP arrived quickly and exceeded your expectations. We work hard to inspect and grade every Tactical Assault Panel before it ships, so it’s great to know the quality stood out. We hope it was exactly what you were looking for and appreciate you choosing Smiths Surplus. (2026-06-25): Steven, We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your order. We do want to clarify one important point: these duffle bags were not listed or sold as new. They are listed as previously issued military surplus in good condition. The product description notes that they may show signs of use, including permanent marker, scuffs, stains, tape residue, repairs, and even painted markings. After receiving your email, we responded the same day and asked for photos of the duffle bag you described as “falling apart” so we could review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution. When we did not hear back, we followed up again a few days later, but unfortunately never received a response. While cosmetic wear is expected with previously issued military surplus, every bag we ship should still be functional and serviceable. If that was not the case here, we wanted the opportunity to review it and make it right. Our offer still stands. Please send us a few photos of the bag, and we’ll gladly review the issue. (2026-06-25): Thank you for your review! We’re glad your order arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. Accurate descriptions and fast, reliable shipping are priorities for us, so it’s great to hear we delivered on both. (2026-07-24): Thank you, Sandra! We really appreciate your kind words. Our goal is to be a trusted source for genuine U.S. military surplus and provide the kind of service you’d expect from a great Army Navy Store. Thanks for your support—we look forward to serving you again! (2026-07-24): Thank you, Henry! We’re glad to hear your item exceeded your expectations. Finding military surplus in outstanding condition is always rewarding, and our inspection and grading process is designed to identify gear that looks as close to unissued as possible. We appreciate your support and hope to see you back at Smith’s Surplus soon! (2026-03-13): Thanks for the great review! We’re glad the USGI MOLLE II Waist Pack worked out for you—and that’s a fantastic use for it.
