Josh, while I can understand and sympathize with you being frustrated about extra charges, it is not appropriate for you to post false or misleading information on Google (or anywhere else). That’s actually a violation of those sites’ terms of service. I will work with any customer to try to help them out, IF they can be reasonable and fair. I have the recorded call where we clearly told you about the $95 per ton over 3 tons. Let me address the things you mention here: (1) Was charged $310.65 a week after the pickup. - This is not correct. It is true we charged you $310.65, but this was one charge, not a charge “per week”. The $310.65 charge was for the weight of the dumpster, based on what you put in it. The dumpster weighed 12,543 lbs (6.27 tons), and I sent you a copy of that weight ticket from the landfill to prove the weight was correct. (2) The price agreed upon was $769, tax included, for a two week rental and 3 tons of trash. – That is correct, plus $95 per ton over the 3 tons, which you and I discussed before you ordered. The $310.65 is the 3.27 additional tons of weight not included in the price. (3) The dumpster was nowhere near full with fence material. - This is not true. I have a picture (which I sent you) of the dumpster before it was picked up, and it is completely full, even over the top, with other material, on top of the brick you put in it. (4) I loaded all of it myself. There's no way it was over 6000 pounds. - This is not true, and you KNOW it’s not true, because when you ordered the dumpster you told us you were disposing of “a few wheelbarrows full of brick”. And when you and I talked on the phone after the dumpster was picked up, you again admitted that you put “several wheelbarrows full of bricks” in the dumpster. Brick is one of the heaviest types of debris, weighing 3,024 lbs per cubic yard. So the brick alone was most of the 6.27 tons. We discussed all of this before you ordered the dumpster, and you were clearly told exactly what it would cost. In addition, we put it in writing on the invoice you received at the time you scheduled. So I’m sorry for the extra charges, but all landfills charge based on final weight. Just so everyone reading this knows, it’s not common for any dumpster to go over the weight limit included in the price. But of course that depends on what the customer puts in it, and we don’t have control over what you choose to put in the dumpster. Everyone reading this should understand this is an attempt to hurt a locally owned small business because you did not get what you wanted, just as you threatened you would do. It's very unfortunate that you choose to do this. It is true the dumpster wasn't delivered. As I explained to you, the landfills all across the city were closed due to high winds. That puts everyone's schedule behind (not just ours). In addition, we tell EVERY customer up front, at the time of their order, about the possibilities of delays, just like this, in an attempt to help our customers understand this business/industry. Schedules being delayed due to landfill closures from weather, or traffic accidents, truck breakdowns, or similar occurrences do not at all equate to "terrible customer service". We simply cannot control that, and we are honest with our customers before they order about these things. I'm sorry there was a delay, but leaving multiple bad reviews in an attempt to hurt a small locally owned company does not help your situation, or any future customers. We have over 100 5 star reviews, so I can say with absolute confidence that, even though sometimes there are delays outside of anyone's control, the vast majority of the time the dumpsters come on time, and the service is great. Don't take my word for it.
