DO NOT PURCHASE. Scam! Went to purchase q month and they charged my card for a life time. After I logged in to my "Life Time" account it appears that you have to purchase more credits. Tried to cancel but the directions specify a cancellation link and there is none to be found.

UniFab is a good product
UniFab is a good product. I mainly use the converter which gives good results. But there are several bugs. First of all, why offer MP4 by default when the most common standard is MKV. And with MKV the subtitles are by default embedded on the video (it's stupid). Also, there are some instabilities when changing the settings.

Good starter deal, Bad Customer Retention
Purchasing UniFab licenses for the first time might seem like a good deal initially. However, be aware that as an existing customer, you will likely end up paying significantly more over time compared to new users. I contacted customer support about the large price imbalance between new and existing users. Despite having already spent nearly $300 on their products, I was asked to pay almost full price (only a $20 discount offered) just to add four missing features, whereas a new user could buy the complete suite for considerably less. The customer support agent deflected my concerns rather than addressing them directly. I requested to close the ticket as it became clear there was no room for negotiation. While they did close the ticket promptly, they did so without grace—no apology for the poor experience, no acknowledgment or thanks for my loyalty, and no genuine request for feedback. Furthermore, the feedback form conveniently failed to submit, further reinforcing the impression that UniFab does not prioritize customer satisfaction, especially for loyal, existing users. Please exercise caution when spending your money here.

What would I do without UniFab?
What would I do without UniFab? I need it to enhance the quality of videos I download and burn from CDs, DVDs, and BluRays, so that I may then convert them from 2D-to-3D. And who isn't watching *everything* in 3D these days? Losers. That's who. The losers. You need the DVDFab suite together with Owl3D so that you can convert GOT, Star Trek, documentaries, HBO/MAX series, etc. Otherwise, what is the point of being alive?

Love the software for what it does
Love the software for what it does, and been using it for years to convert files and rip movies from disc. I still normally burn with Nero, however. The Fab products have historic issues with getting subtitles from .mkv when converting into .mp4, although at least the newer products seem to be getting them back down, in white, instead of center screen in massive blue (when they do correctly identify the subtitles as being present in the file). The only other negative is that when stopping a movie, burned with fab onto a bluray disc, it loses its place and will have to restart from the beginning, whereas burning with Nero, pressing 'stop' once, allows the movie to pick right back up where it was left. [edit] this review IS of Unifab. Another issue I just had with Unifab was that version 13 of the software suite doesn't always get the audio converted the way I need it, and I have taken to using the converter from version 12, as that one does convert the audio properly.

I love their products that work well, but…
I love their products that work as promised, such as their video transcoder (now part of Unifab). Some of their newer, more graphics-intensive products have never worked for me, and their support always stalls out and I give up because it is so much work to keep going on and on with them and never getting anywhere/. I should try insisting on a refund but I never have yet. BE CAREFUL with them! They always try to get you to upgrade products you have already upgraded. And they promise certain things will be lifetime if you paid for lifetime, and then take some of those lifetime things away, and then require payment for them again. Very deceptive and unfair business practices. I really do not want to support them, but i use the transcoder all the time and some other stuff now and then, and I keep hoping the more intensive stuff will get fixed so I can try those also.
