Raised a warranty claim in October 2024. Support suggested a firmware update and then went quiet. By May 2026 the battery had properly failed: severe cell imbalance, won’t hold charge, shuts down after a few minutes so the inverter loses it. BMS interface is ugly and there is zero active balancing. Opened the formal case 19 May 2026. Sent over 30 emails. Most replies were late, incomplete, or simply repeated the same requests for data and software screenshots. PC software never connected properly (only Bluetooth worked). Offered TeamViewer. Asked repeatedly for a replacement or return address. Three months later — still nothing. No resolution, no replacement, no clear next step. Two years of ownership, two separate warranty issues, zero proper support. Bassen equips the batteries with two types of BMS, one made OEM by Tianpower and others with JK. My preference is the ones with JK I have only had one problem in all this time with a BMS that was finally replaced after I tried to fix it in the software. Contrary to what is stated that there is no communication, the Bassen representative with whom I collaborate is very prompt in responding to requests. Regarding the quality of the battery elements, I bought EVE and CAT cells and the quality is given by the manufacturer. They advertise with 200A charge/discharge, the battery can handle 0.5C at 314ah which would be 157 and the BMS is limited in charging to 100 amps and discharging it blows right to 200 amps. Apart from the fact that the bluetooth app doesnt work properly and the settings cannot be changed, it kinda works. Where it gets worse is the cells.. they sold me A grade EVE mb31 cells, and I found out one cell (which ruins the whole pack) is pretty bad, so I cannot use about 10% of the capacity of the entire battery pack as it's in series. I've asked customer service to fix it but customer service doesnt respond at all, doesnt seem to exist. Would NOT recommend. Fully charged was outputting 36v. I asked for help from Lilly on costumers care and she implied that my 10k Deye and two multimeters had problem but not the battery. I had to open the battery to find out that the bms board had a few fried components and I bought a new bms on my expenses. If you buy, just don't count on after shales and be aware that the warranty is a joke. Recently we have ordered 2 ps of test battery packs 12V 300Ah from Basen Green. Well, I can’t find the right words to express how disappointed I am from Basen Green. The after sales service is terrible :( !!! One of the batteries we’ve ordered is working perfectly, but the other one is totally full with issues. After connecting to the battery via Bluetooth the BMS doesn’t respond to commands to open or close charge/discharge ports. As well the main functions are not accessible, simply the EPROM communication in the BMS is not working. It turns that both batteries have different firmware versions… the one that is working have v6.6 and the other the faulty one v a.4. During a dispute over Alibaba, Basen Green started lying about the troubleshooting findings and have proposed that the issue is with the Bluetooth module and they have tested it and everything is working fine that’s why they offer refund only for the Bluetooth module! If that makes sense for you, for me doesn’t! Simply Basen Green has NO honour, such a suppliers DON NOT PLACE ON THE MARKET. Basen Green warranty is not really worth a penny. On top, the battery BMS get totally malfunctioning, started giving wired values and opening and closing safety futures it self. I was forced to drive this battery for safely destroying, because of safety risks! Our insurance policy do not allow us to open battery pack that is ip65. After the many emails to Alex Chen to mitigate the several issue with the four battery packs, Pack unbalance where two packs use 40% more current in both the charge and discharge cycle, Alex Chen blames my wiring when in fact all cables are equal length to the charger and the resistance has been measured to be equal with a high resolution resistance instrument. One cell in one pack tends to run away with its voltage raising above 3.65V having to reduce voltage and current to stop the run away effect. The so called Pylontech compatibility is faulty in that the pack set to CAN mode that is supposed to collect the data from the other packs using the parallel RS485 does not, it only communicates that CAN data from the singular pack assigned as the CAN. Alex Chan keeps blaming others be it my installation or that of the inverter manufacturer that is one of the largest on and off grid equipment maker (Selectronic). When I presented information of the cell that runs away with a voltage delta of 105 mV the response was the only truth that has come out of her mouth. This is what she said about their A grade cells - " The size of the current is related to the internal resistance of the battery core and the wiring method when connected in parallel. I=U/R.When U remains unchanged, the smaller R is, the larger I is. This involves wires, MOS, and battery cells. It will be different. Our batteries are currently at the energy storage level, not at the industrial, commercial or automotive level, and can only be controlled at about 5% SOC. " Aside the part of the answer that has nothing to do to the cell delta she mentions cell quality used, from this I take that are using nothing like A grade more likely rejects. when they spec the cell balance to be with is 5mV the 105mV obtained is way more that 5% The BMS firmware is locked so there is no manner to solve the CAN bus multi pack communication issue aside replacing the BMS in each unit. So if intending to use Basen Green you are taking the chance of been lumbered with so many issues that the company will not resolve aside the lip service that tries to assure you and ignoring the problems. The company is dishonest from the point of sale to the delivery method, I could not find out who the shipper was, at the time this created a lot of concern as to the whereabouts of the batteries, to having to travel 1000KM to collect what I had paid for, delivery to my address, to having been supplied cables that had been wired incorrectly to having been given user manual that related to a different battery hence the settings differed creating huge confusion with the poor answers provided. This company is not professional or ethical, once they have your money you are alone. Would I recommend this company? The price is cheap- Yes They seem to be friendly - Yes They are willing to fix problems - NO Answer direct question - NO Purchase from Basen Green - NO NO NO, once bitten twice shy, only do so if you are demented. 25/2/2024 I get a message more than a year later that they will contact me...no contact as mentioned in their response, more smoke and mirrors from this crowd, dishonest company. Keep away from. This happens regardless of battery state of charge, charging or discharging rate, or temperature. Product is useless. Tech support unable to help, no response for almost 2 weeks then started asking questions trying to blame my installation for the issue. I tested with just a digital clock connected, battery cannot power even a simple low power device reliably.
