Hello, We take claims like this very seriously. However, statements suggesting CIAT is a “scam” or engages in unethical practices are simply not accurate. As published in our catalog in accordance with accreditation requirements, diplomas and graduation certificates are issued only after students meet all graduation requirements, including minimum GPA, attendance standards, and financial obligations. If a student has not met these requirements, a diploma will not be issued until those requirements are fulfilled. Students always have access to their official transcripts showing their graduate status to support employment or continuing education goals. Regarding career outcomes, we stand firmly behind the success of our graduates. The companies listed on our website represent organizations where our alumni have been hired, and this information is reviewed and updated regularly. We are extremely proud of the many students who have successfully launched or advanced their careers after completing our programs. Transparency is also something we prioritize strongly. We publicly share key student outcome data, including student satisfaction ratings for each 5-week term, completion rates, certification exam pass rates, and placement outcomes. Anyone can review this information on our Trust & Transparency page here: https://www.ciat.edu/trust Additionally, our name change from California Institute of Arts & Technology to California Institute of Applied Technology reflects our continued effort to stay aligned with industry trends and emphasize our applied, career-focused approach to technical education. If you believe there is an outstanding issue related to your academic record or graduation status, we encourage you to contact our Student Services team directly so we can review your specific case. — The CIAT Team

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take any allegation of discrimination very seriously, and we strive to foster a community that is diverse, inclusive and respectful. Many of our students and staff come from a wide range of backgrounds, and we’re proud of that diversity. We do not condone any form of racism; such behavior would be contrary to our mission and values. If you would like to discuss your experience further, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to better understand your concerns and continue to improve our student experience.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re very sorry to hear about the challenges you faced due to COVID-19 and the frustration you’re experiencing regarding your account status. We understand how concerning it can feel to receive communication about financial aid or student loans after you believed your account was closed. Please know that federal financial aid funds (including FAFSA-related loans) are processed according to federal regulations, and in some cases, adjustments or updates may occur after a student withdraws depending on attendance dates and return-of-funds calculations. That said, it is absolutely our priority to ensure your account is accurate and fully resolved. We would like the opportunity to review your records in detail, confirm your withdrawal status, and clarify any remaining balance or financial aid activity so you have complete transparency. Please reach out directly to your student success advisor, or to us at [email protected], and we will coordinate with Financial Aid to review your account and assist you in finalizing any remaining steps toward closure. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to helping you resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
