In other words, it means there were not enough funds, or margin, in the account to maintain a position. A margin requirement is the minimum amount of funds required to open and maintain an existing position.

Margin requirements are based on the price of the pair, the pair itself, and volume being traded. As prices fluctuate, so does the margin requirement.
