We are very sorry to hear that you feel unsupported during what is clearly a difficult personal situation. ThirdHome takes seriously both the concerns of our hosts and the expectations of our traveling members. When a host requests to cancel confirmed reservations, we have an obligation to consider not only the host's circumstances but also the commitments made to guests who have planned their travel in reliance on those reservations. In this instance, we requested additional information regarding the nature of the legal dispute so that we could better understand whether it affected the property's availability or the ability to safely host guests. Based on the information available to us, we were not presented with evidence that legally prevented the property from being occupied. Accordingly, our Host Cancellation Policy remained applicable. It would run counter to club policy for us to pressure a homeowner to act contrary to a legal obligation. Rather, we strive to balance the interests of all members while applying our policies consistently and fairly. Where circumstances genuinely make a property unavailable, we work with hosts to understand the facts and determine the appropriate course of action. We appreciate your feedback and remain willing to review any additional documentation that may materially affect the property's ability to honor confirmed ThirdHome reservations
