APKPure

on the 5th downloaded app I got a virus

My defender stopped it, but this is concerning, about a service that boasts its anti-virus apk's.

Good site

Good site. For those moaning about ads, how else are they supposed to fund their service and make an income. If it really bothers you just use Brave browser. No ads ever again. Anywhere.

Claim to have all older versions of app I wanted. Only had a few. Installing apk app, Just a page full of adds, and trying to get you to click on something you dont want. Waiste of my time. Avoid this scam app.

Good for Huawei, BAD download speed

Overall a great app for my Huawei device. One and only downside of this app is garbage download speed. Huawei AppGallery can utilize the maximum speed of my internet which is 30mb/s meawhile in ApkPure the best it can do is 2.5mb/s because it always gets stuck at around 500/700kb/s

Works great!

Works great, I need it to download apk files of apps that Google Play blocks because it says it is not compatible on tablets. I've been using for about a year now, and my only complaint is that it occasionally provides xapk files and not apk files, which my device does not recognize.

POTENTIALLY USEFUL SERVICE DESTROYED DUE TO GREED

ALAS, IT WOULD'VE BEEN A USEFUL SERVICE IF THE WEBSITE WASN'T SHAMELESSLY GREEDY FOR AD REVENUES. IT'S LITERALLY RIDDEN WITH ADS!!! THEY WANT US TO ALL THE TIME ACCIDENTALLY CLICK ON ADS!!! I UNDERSTAND THEY NEED REVENUE BUT IT LITERALLY TAKES A HEFTY TOLL ON THE USER'S TIME, THAT IS, TO GET TO THE APK, WE NEED TO CLICK THREE DIFFERENT LINKS ONE AFTER THE OTHER. HENCE, UNFORTUNATELY USING AN ALTERNATE SERVICE.

APKPure is unuseable

APKPure has become less and less functional and more ad driven with each update to the point where it is now unusable. It is continuously reporting that the installed version is newer than the latest download or creates merged apks that fail to validate.

collects userdata and installs advertising channel.

Akpure offers many apps, also some of which google play store doesn't. On the other hand it installs, without telling it, a advertising subchannel which begins to advertise after some time. This advertising raises more and more, first only on use with the app itself, later with the use of some apps that were installed with apkpure, and finally with most other apps too, even with the play store app. It then gets recognized as 'bad app' from play store, and I think, that's ok. I finally uninstalled the app myself. There are other stores like e.g. F-Droid that do not install a adv-channel and won't advertised. Evevthough, keep in mind, also playstore does collect user data and usage information! I have deactivated playstore at least and activate it only if I update some Google apps.
