Basically the way it works is that the insurance is per 24hrs and it starts at the exact same time of the rental car contract is signed. That way the insurance covers you over 24hrs periods, whereas some other insurance companies charge you per calendar day which increases the insurance cost. Safe travels! Bonzah Team

We are planning to reduce the cost for longer durations - e.g. the initial days are the most risky but after that people should get lower prices. Hello Manuel, thanks for the feedback. It's understandable that the insurance you purchased costs $14.88 per 24 hrs of liability coverage. And you purchased 16 days - so it does add up quite a bit! That being said - if you had an accident with another vehicle or injured another person - not having the insurance could lead to claims of Bodily Injury or property damage - total Aggregate of $35,000. CA doesn't provide as much liability coverage compared to some other states given NY provides $60,000 aggregate coverage. Safe travels! Bonzah Team
