With the reduced price, the banner itself explains that a 30-day free trial will start, showing the exact price that will be charged if the trial isn’t cancelled. - Once you move to the checkout page, the subscription details appear again, clearly visible above the course being purchased, to ensure transparency. If you choose not to have the subscription, which is possible at that moment, you can remove it, and the course price will be updated to the regular rate. - Notifications are sent to the email associated with your Domestika account during your trial period and you can cancel before the trial period ends from Profile › Subscriptions. About the charge you received, it seems like the trial wasn’t cancelled before the estimated period, so the annual membership was billed automatically.
