We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we’re genuinely sorry for the frustration you felt after reviewing your contract. We’re glad to hear your initial interaction with our representative was positive, but we understand how disappointing it can be to realize—after reading the agreement—that certain items you were hoping to have covered are excluded.
As you noted in your follow-up conversation with our customer service team, this came down to expectations versus the specific terms of the contract selected. Vehicle service contracts, even exclusionary plans, do have standard industry exclusions—such as water intrusion, seals, airbags, and restraint systems—due to their design and risk profile. These exclusions are outlined in the contract documents provided prior to purchase and during the review period. Ultimately, you decided the coverage wasn’t the right fit for your needs, and we fully respect that decision.
While we’re disappointed we couldn’t meet your expectations, we appreciate your honesty and your acknowledgment that you may have moved forward before fully reviewing the contract details. We’re always working to improve how clearly we explain coverage and limitations so customers can make the most informed decision possible.
Thank you again for the feedback, and we wish you the very best moving forward.
We’re sorry to hear about the frustration described in this review. Based on the Trustpilot username provided, we were unable to identify this reviewer as a customer in our system; however, we still want to take the opportunity to address the concerns raised for clarity and transparency.
Vehicle service contract claims are administered by the licensed claims administrator listed in the contract - autopom! All claim decisions are made in accordance with the contract terms, verified diagnostics, approved labor times, and prevailing labor rates in the repair facility’s market. It is standard industry practice for administrators to request maintenance records and to validate repair estimates before authorizing payment.
In some cases, a repair facility’s estimate may exceed the administrator’s approved labor time or labor rate. When that occurs, the administrator may approve a lesser amount based on industry labor guides and regional pricing data, and the customer may be responsible for the difference. Diagnostic charges are also commonly excluded unless the contract specifically provides coverage for diagnostics tied to an approved repair.
We understand how disappointing and confusing this process can feel, particularly when expectations don’t align with the final outcome or when comparing experiences across different providers. While we always advocate for fair and timely claim handling, approvals, and payments must remain consistent with the contract and administrator guidelines.
If the reviewer is willing to contact us directly with identifying details, we would be happy to review the claim and provide additional clarity.
