At that time, you may schedule a consultation with one or more interested lawyers, during which you and each attorney determine whether there is a good fit for working together on your case. Unfortunately, even when matched, some clients are unable to secure an attorney for a variety of reasons including bad timing (lawyers often need to prioritize their existing clients over potential new clients) and case details that don’t align with the attorneys practice specialty. We review each attorney before they join LegalMatch, and do not allow membership to anyone who has an open complaint with their state bar association. EDITED TO ADD: This includes times when a lawyer's schedule requires them to prioritize current client needs, such as when a case is assigned an unexpected court date or series of court dates. If a lawyer says they will reschedule, and then there's no follow up, it doesn't mean they are a "garbage scam lawyer." Also, once a lawyer reviews client documentation, it's fairly common for them to decide against continuing to work with that client for a variety of reasons -- including personality fit. Successful matching allows both parties to decide whether or not to work with each other. As shown in the product demo you attended, you are receiving collections cases as they are submitted by consumers. This includes bankruptcy law leads.
