Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many buyers stated that the garments delivered were entirely made of cheap polyester instead of the natural wool shown clearly in the online advertisements. Consumers also pointed out that the clothing sizing was completely inaccurate, leading to ordered items that did not fit properly at all.
However, some customers also noted that securing a full refund proved very difficult, frequently involving complicated return processes and tiny partial compensation offers. A few other people also felt that they successfully resolved their refund requests after contacting their payment providers or receiving direct company support.
Please do not buy these jumpers it’s a scam.
The company are not selling what you see on their website I should have checked reviews !!! Before buying !!!
They are selling cheap polyester tops breaching guidelines as no labels inside the tops.
As others have said, this is a scam. Totally misleading advert which claims their sweaters and cardigans are Icelandic wool, in fact the Chinese made tosh is 100% polyester. Avoid.
Well the above says it all - do not waste your money!!
Icelandic wool???? Really, how could I have been so stupid it even says on the label 100% Polyester.
Check, check and check again and then do not touch with a bargepole.
Scam. Avoid. Our bank refused to pay them and alerted us. Media used another site and demanded payment from PayPal, who paid them and got the payment from our bank.
This is a flashy website but what you get is not wool nor Icelandic / Swedish but Chinese. Sizes are wrong as well, not worth anything like what you pay let alone what the site says they are worth. Avoid.
This company is not what it seems
I paid in UK ££s and when the invoice arrived, it had been converted to $$s which was an immediate alarm bell.
Luckily I went through Paypal to pay for my purchase. At the same time, I emailed the company asking to cancel the order and received a response a day later, from Scenery Trade Co Ltd and a Chinese emblem attached to it.
Now whether it was because I simultaneously raised an issue with PP, but after confirming I required a refund, it arrived 2 days later. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
These pop up Chinese companies are so stupid. They attract many customers and orders with their skilful advertising. All they have to do is to provide what it says on the tin and they would make a mint, but not out of me on this occasion.
This company is a total and unmitigated SCAM. The sweater, wnen it finally arrived was a terrible fit and was 100%POLYESTER, not wool as advertised. The parcel had chinese characters on the label, confirming that it came from China in the first place. Sadly, I ordered 2 sweaters, goodness knows where the other one is.
Purchased a sweater from this company I ordered a large size which is meant to fit a 35 inch chest. You will need an XXL to fit this chest. The goods made in China and I have more wool in my socks than there are in the sweater. Expensive mistake to make. Do not buy
A scam offering Icelandic wool pullovers which are polyester
A complete scam using what looks like a charming granny in a shop, in America surrounded by Icelandic pullovers. These are fake covered with Chinese stickers and made of 100% polyester.I tried one on and the neckline is just above my chest. So you can easily be duped by the offer of 100% wool jumpers in a closing down sale.I also had my payment processed in Hong Kong by a company called Mossman which was a giveaway!
This is a scam. I purchased what were claimed to be luxury hand-knitted wool garments from Iceland. When they eventually arrived - after many weeks' delay- they were poor quality, printed, polyester garments clearly labelled as made in China. I am appalled that they are still advertised in a convincing and professional but totally misleading way. Do not buy any.
Do not order from this site. The advertising is completely false. There is not a single thread if wool in these garments. They are 100% polyester. I have tried numerous times to get in touch with customer services to return the miss- sold products and get a refund. Unsurprisingly, I have had no reply.
Melia & Co seems to be a reincarnation of discredited Norrloom - the same flood of glossy ads on unvetted MSN webpages, and the same shoddy polyester garments masquerading as Icelandic/Scandinavian woollen knitwear, likewise based in Wuhan. China. No chance of a full refund if you change your mind after ordering. Avoid!
