If I could give a minus score I would
If I could give a minus score I would. Cheap poor quality clothing. DO NOT BUY. The company returned to me the clothing I sent back to China. I am still awaiting a resolution.

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many buyers stated that the garments delivered were entirely made of cheap polyester instead of the natural wool shown clearly in the online advertisements. Consumers also pointed out that the clothing sizing was completely inaccurate, leading to ordered items that did not fit properly at all. However, some customers also noted that securing a full refund proved very difficult, frequently involving complicated return processes and tiny partial compensation offers. A few other people also felt that they successfully resolved their refund requests after contacting their payment providers or receiving direct company support.

The garment was nothing like it was supposed to be not pure wool and not hand knitted the pattern wasn't the same, never order anything from this site. Didn't bother to carry on with a complaint as I didn't want to send it back to China. It is a fraud.
DELIVERED WRONG ORDERED ITEMS AND COULD NOT GET REFUND FOR RETURN POSTAGE TO CHINA. AMERICAN EXPRESS WOULD NOT GET INVOLVED AS THEY ARE THERE "MERCHANTS " ALSO. IN THE END THEY SENT A 20% REFUND WHICH I HAD NOT ACCEPTED. AMERICAN EXPRESS WIPED THERE HANDS CLEAN ALSO.
Just to let anyone else who has been scammed by this company know that I have received a full refund from my credit card company (Nat West) after raising a dispute. It takes a bit of time but worth it for the result. There is no need in trying to obtain a refund from Melia as their solution appears to be a partial refund and that only happens when you supposedly have returned the items to China at your own expense and efforts.
This company is a scam selling cheap chinese polyester sweaters as Icelandic woolen sweaters. My experience is the same as others who have already reviewed. Melia-co.com has now closed shop but reopened as Melia London - you have been warned!!
Melia & Co is a superb example of how to lie, cheat and engage in profitable fakery. My experience is no different from all the others reviews, which rubbish the company and the goods they received. 100% POLYESTER AND NOT ICELANDIC WOOL!!! I emailed them and this is what they said: “ADVERTISING HAS ITS OWN SPECIFIC EFFECT AND IT IS NORMAL FOR THERE TO BE SOME SLIGHT DIFFERENCES FROM THE PRODUCT YOU RECEIVE”. Can you believe that, and then they go on to say: IN ADDITION THE TRANSPORTATION PACKAGING MAY AFFECT PART OF THE QUALITY So what they are saying is that, it was 100% Icelandic wool when it left us, but because of the packaging it turned into 100% polyester in transit. COMPLETE AND UTTER NONSENSE DON'T BE FOOLED
It seems that you can't write a review without giving one undeserved star. Poor quality polyester and one garment not even knitted - some sort of sweat shirt. Not at all what was ordered and I finally accepted 20% back through Paypal and disposed of things as I could not trust the company to return my money if I returned the goods at a further cost of £29 and more hassle. Even the size information was in Icelandic and then the stuff came from China. They use several names of large hotel companies to hide behind.
24/12/2025 Melia Informed me it was deliverd to my local post office. Next it was now been deliverd and signed for on the 29/11/25 by Royal Mail who sent a photo of it being deliverd to a upturned box. Royal Mail informs me that NO house number was printed on the parcel. My bank has refunded me and is in contact with Mossman, who cannot get their facts right. DONOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE JUST A BUNCE OF CON MERCHANTS.
A total con. The jumpers we received were poor quality, machine knitted polyester, made in China. One has a neck opening almost as big as the waist and both have sleeves that reach just below the elbows. No way to return. Pay pal have been brilliant but avoid this company.
I ordered 3 XL-size icelandic-style jumpers. When I received them they were way too short despite the sticker on packaging. The wrappings had labels in Chinese, too. When I contacted them about sending them back, and asked them for what my size should be, they did not reply. I chased, they asked for pictures of wrappings. Then, they replied that they sent me what I ordered, offered a 15% rebate for a new order, but no option to return. Just offer them as presents to friends and family, they said! What's the use of a 15% rebate for a new order if they won't tell me what my size should be? I won't order from them anyway.
I also stupidly didn’t check and my beautiful jerseys are not Icelandic wool or any type of wool. They are, according to their labels 100% polyester. The sizing is all over the place and they are made in China. I paid through PayPal who are raising the case for me. The payment was made to Happy Culture and Arts. Be warned
Severely poor quality backed up by even worse customer service. They are crooks
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE! Very misleading website. Cheap polyester jumpers being sold as 'natural' Sizing completely off from their own sizing guide. No way to return product unless you want to spend a fortune returning to China
if you are reading this you have either already been ripped off or are about to be by the company. it is a total con and these people of just crooks. the jumper , "hand crafted - 100% Finnish wool" is actually a piece of polyester crap. I would not insult my worst enemy with this. WARNING :- THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS
Just received two jumpers which I asked for from my family as a present, apparantly they took ages to come, I wish they had not, like them I wished I had read the reviews, they are poor material no wool hat I can see, very tight and not worth more than £10 each if that, I wish they had not arrived then could have got money back off Pay Pal, beware of glossy advertising
Really really bad quality been ripped off by wrong discription the website. Worse is could not get refund. I will recommend no one should buy anything from this website to avoid loosing money like we had. It’s terrible.
A bizarre scam. I ordered what I thought was a bargain on an Icelandic-style woolen jumper, with the design I picked being the only one I'd have purchased. The first problem was that Melia & Co sent me the wrong design. I sent them photographic evidence of this but was initially fobbed off with suggestions that products may look "slightly" different to the advert, and even that the courier might somehow be responsible. They offered 20% refund but I rejected that, telling them that the "excuses" they'd given clearly weren't relevant, and I wanted to exchange for the correct product. They responded by saying by saying they were sorry that I still wasn't happy with the product (they never actually apologised for it being the wrong product!) and upped their refund offer to 30%. The other option was for me to return it and get a full refund, but only if I paid the postage which, given that I'm in the UK and they're in China, would have been rather a lot. I also didn't trust there not to be further complications, so decided to claim the 30% (which was paid) and keep the jumper. At this point, I opened the clear inner layer of packaging and found (to no surprise, given its appearance) that the jumper is actually 100% polyester rather than wool. More surprising was that they'd sent XL size when I'd ordered L, but it's actually only just big enough for me so is probably more like M. It's wearable, and in it's new state actually looks pretty good, but it's not something I'd have bought. I'd definitely not buy from this company again, and would caution others against doing so!
I should have heeded the experiences described by other reviewers! I ordered a jumper from these people, which arrived promptly enough; the problem is that it was nowhere near the size I ordered - being FAR too small - and there is no label anywhere on the jumper to tell you what size it actually is. When I contacted the company (now mysteriously called Scenery Trading, a Chinese outfit) they acknowledged that they had made a mistake, and asked me to send photos to illustrate the problem, which I did. They then replied to the effect that I should give the jumper to one of my relatives, who would appreciate it - and they would offer a ‘goodwill’ refund of just 15%! My advice to anyone reading this review is: don’t go anywhere near these people! They are not to be trusted.
Regarding 'being a muppet' for expecting the 'real thing' at this price. The website did say they were closing down... so yes, I was taken in. Otherwise I would not have been tempted. As other have said the items are very poor quality & the service is 'non existent'!
I ordered three 'knitted sweaters' from this company's 'closing down sale'. What I received were three polyester and spandex tops which looked very cheap and tacky. After much email correspondence their final offer was that they would refund me 40% and that I would be responsible for paying the shipping costs back to an address in CHINA. Like all the other reviews I believe this company to be a complete an utter scam. The name against my Credit Card transaction is Rise Rise. My emails are from Scenery Trade Co Ltd. I urge anyone who has been conned by this disgraceful company to raise an issue with their card provider. I have received this latest communication from my bank:- About your dispute We just wanted to let you know that we're temporarily refunding the payment(s) that was made to PAYPAL *RISE RISE for the amount of £88.31 while we investigate further. This will show as a credit on your next statement. If anyone reading this knows how to get the Melia Co website taken down please take action so that no one else is scammed. I hope this review helps.
