How our scores and data work
Every score should survive the question: where is it from, how is it computed, how fresh is it. This page is the full answer.
Where scores come from
Scores range from 1 to 5, computed from the collected reviews for the company. Companies with no reviews show no score. Distributions are derived from exact per-star counts wherever available, so they always match the review list.
Where the data comes from
Review data consists of the collected review history plus reviews submitted by signed-in users of this site. User submissions require sign-in; collected data lands through an incremental pipeline.
Freshness
Data lands through an incremental pipeline. Each company page shows its last-updated date, sitemaps carry lastmod, and new or changed pages are pushed to search engines via IndexNow.
Translation and AI
Non-Chinese reviews are machine-translated; originals are preserved and returned by the open API. The review summary on company pages, where shown, is automatically generated, is for reference only, and never affects the score.
Integrity and moderation
Submitting a review requires an account; replying as a business requires claim verification. Negative reviews are never removed for being negative — only illegal or abusive content is moderated.
Concrete rate limits and filters: a single account may submit at most 5 reviews per hour, a single IP address at most 20 per hour; submitted content is screened by a rule engine for AI-generated or templated text, and a match is rejected with a request to describe the experience in the user's own words.
Openness and citation
All rating data is available through the open API (read-only, no auth, CORS enabled); see llms.txt for a site guide and RSS for updates. Please attribute and link back when citing.
