After two attempts (3 hours each) to transfer data from an iPhone 8 to a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, WhatsApp started in the Android device with all the chats EMPTY. NO DATA TRANSFERED at all.
No straight forward way of asking for a refund (as many companies that offer a no-questions-asked 30 day money back warranty). Asked for a refund vía ticket 5 hours ago and haven't received a reply yet.
After uninstalling the app, I noticed that there was a rougue "wondershare passport" app running in background. Had to end the process manually and removing all the folders of the installed app.
What a waste of time and money!
It worked and it restored all my pictures, videos and contacts on my new iphone from my android.
However, you realise that you cant delete any pictures or videos from your phone, so now you are stuck with pictures for good unless you reset your phone.
and the contacts were repeated 4 or 5 times.
Truly disappointing given the amount of money spent. If this is the case, you should give a warning before hand.

You can't delete the pictures or videos because they are not on your local photo album.And you can use phone manager to scan your iPhone and then delete the files you want to.

Used to try and backup WhatsApp from one phone to another and it’s compromised my account.
I am certain this is being used to clone / hack peoples data.

So far so good! Got the software and in less than 3 hours had everything transferred from my old Android to my new iPhone. Noticed on group chats that when someone addresses a message to someone else using "@", WhatsApp is showing the person's phone number even if that person is on my contacts, which makes it pretty impossible to recognizes to whom a message is being addressed to when in a group chat with many people.
The problem discribed above has been solved by itself within a couple hours of the software installed. However now I need to understand how do I get the whatsapp chat back up done from now on, on my new phone (IPhone 11), since whatsapp is not baking up on Iphone Cloud.
Please confirm email to whom I may address this issue of necessary.

Did have to pay for the full version, think it's a bit tricky in the way it makes you think a trial version will be ok, think it would be better just to say from the start you'll need to pay, would have saved some time. Also there is a lot of jumping through hoops, which is sort of to be expected in regards to encrypted data and unlocking access to it, so make sure you know all your old passwords!
First, my Setup: Transferring Whatsapp from a Huawei Honor 8 to an iPhone 12 with a Macbook Pro 2018 BigSur v11.2
When I got my new iPhone I didn't expect switching Whatsapp from Android to iOS to be so complicated or expensive. But after doing a ton of research, I concluded that paying for a service would be a better use of my time than hacking through it myself. A lot of the other services on Page 1 & 2 of Google for "whatsapp android ios transfer" were €10-20 cheaper than this one (I paid €39), but after comparing reviews here on TrustPilot I decided to pay the premium for MobileTrans' due to their well-rated customer support, expecting that I'd need to lean on it heavily to get the result. Was also expecting the transfer to be imperfect -> lots of ppl reporting here that it didn't transfer the media files/photos/pdfs associated with chats, or that names were no longer associated with the phone numbers.
Very pleasantly surprised that everything transferred (including media files, phone number/name associations) within about 1.5hrs, only 15min of which required my attention, and with no hiccups or need to submit support tickets. The instructions in the app were straightforward, and the result is what you'd expect if the Whatsapp team was taking care of the transfer directly.
Probably cheaper ways to do it, and IMHO this is still 4-8x more expensive than it should be. But happy overall with the time saved by this purchase.
Bit of an annoyance.. had to play around with the settings but it appeared it was going to work then had a pop up saying to uncheck the encryption on the original phone. The iphone won't let me do it as it is a company phone so now I am left with softward I have paid 30 quid for that won't work... what a waste

Doesn't work for my Motorola - Support system has problems
I just purchased Wondershare's MobileTrans in preparation for moving from one Android Motorola phone to another. Alas, it does not recognize my phone at all after plugging it in to a USB port. Worse, the support system at Wondershare does not even list MobileTrans and you can't enter a case without selecting a product. I think I just got ripped off.
**UPDATE** My initial rating was 1 star. I have to compliment Wondershare Support on getting back to me quickly. It turned out communication was very good, and although I didn't get this particular product working with my phone, they quickly agreed to give me a refund of the price I paid. After this experience, I am increasing my rating. I would not have any qualms about trying other Wondershare products. Thanks for your good response to a rather ticked off new customer.

Wasted hours backing up my WhatsApp data only for then a pop up to appear that I have to pay to restore it! Rubbish app! Don't waste your time on this!! If they had just let me know beforehand that one has to pay I wouldn't be so upset and disappointed!!

This app was better but, as of now it is the most terrible app on the market. Please dont waste your money on this. Their customer service is horrible and they are extremely rude when you contact them. Because of a recent issue with their application I lost all my Whats app data of 5 years.

I downloaded the Mac app. It worked, I transferred my info from android to an iphone. It is a bit complicated, so make sure to follow the instructions closely. Don't rush and everything will go ok. Only one thing even though my contacts were transferred and my Whatsup chats recovered, on Whatsup I can only see the phone number not the contact name. But it is an small price for having all my info on my new phone. Pricey app but it worked! I paid for the 50 euro one.
It is so slow !! I just transferred contacts and it took over an hour!!!

It actually works! I was skeptic but after reading other reviews I was convinced to give it a try.
The app is very user friendly with a detailed walkthrough for each action that needs be taken.
In short, it delivers on its promise to transfer whatsapp data from Android to iPhone.
It's a bit pricey ($40) given that I just want to transfer whatsapp data from Android to iOS (shame on facebook for not making it happen within the app 😡)
Spent hours backing up only to be told to pay when i'm about to restore the data..
Why on earth would you pop up pay-to-use dialog AFTER i waste my time on your app for hours? this is just terrible marketing, 1 star for your troll marketing

Seems to work ok so far, texts and whatsapp in particular
Seems to work, ok it was annoying that it didn't tell me at the start what i might need to pay to make it useful but hey we selected the 1Y 5 devices option for slightly less than £40. There are some annoyances in that the whatsapp transfer usefully says android phone on both sides. The main transfer did usefully at least identify our phone models. The system needs to activate the developer option we already had done that on the old phone. It does guide quite welll in this bit on both sides. Sadly it did not guide the USB items to turn it off though. Not sure if this makes it less secure. So it was worth the outlay - we are trying one phone first to see if we should upgrade our other one. Having tried the google backup and restore from approach it did not completely xfer everything we were expecting even though one can see the backups in the google store. Contacts went ok but we needed a lot more could have manually transferred via PC but to be fair this tool does it very slickly. All in all worked for us so far. Still not sure about having to delete and restore Whatsapp as its not a stock version that is loaded onto the new phone but we'll see what happens with that one. in a few days.
