It was clearly stated at the bottom of the artwork approval that we do not guarantee an exact colour match and that we have a colour tolerance of up to 20%. A reasonable variation in colour between the original materials, proofs, and the completed order is considered acceptable print quality. After comparing the photo of the final print you sent with the artwork approval, we found that the final print is within our acceptable range. 2. When you asked us, "How to try just in case the print doesn’t look good?", we recommended printing a batch to test first. We did not assure you that colour variation would not be an issue, especially since this point was not discussed further regarding our 20% colour tolerance policy. 3. Your inquiry with us was regarding the legibility of the text, for which we advised you to print out the artwork approval to verify. 4. We have explained that colour variation is common in printing due to various factors such as material, finishing, screen brightness, and screen calibration. These factors can cause differences between what you see on screen and the final product. While we understand this may be frustrating, it is a common issue in printing that is often unavoidable. We regret that we were unable to meet your expectations and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Edited: Thank you for your clafication. Yes, you did ask if "The text on the card will be clear and readable, correct?" to which we responded, "YES. All clear and sharp, can we proceed to print?" Your initial pre-approval inquiries focused on text legibility, not colour. The current complaint is about colour variation, not text clarity. Our responses on colour issues were provided after you received the card and raised a complaint. We appreciate your understanding.
