Hi there, Thank you so much for your lovely review. We appreciate it. We're looking forward to accompanying you on the next steps all the way home! Here's to you and your story! Warmly, Louise
Hi Jason, Thank you so much for your feedback. That's exactly what we aim to provide writers: advice and guidance from those very best placed to give it, and the one-to-one in-depth sessions with our focus on you and your story are at the heart of The Novelry. We're super proud of our community, too, and glad to hear you're making for yourself a trusted peer group. We're glad the experience is proving what it promises, and we look forward to seeing where your writing goes from here. Happy days ahead! Warmly, Louise
Hi Karen, This is so great to hear! Your big idea finds itself on the page, and grows in weight and meaning as you explore it in the writing. It's got a few surprises in store for you yet! I'm so glad you enjoyed The Big Idea stage of the journey. Here's to the next step with The Big Write and your author coach alongside you as that big idea becomes a big story! Warmly, Louise
Dear Deb, This was a sad review to receive from a writer we've so enjoyed writing with. Congratulations again on finishing your first draft, you've come a long way. Let me address your comments as they're important to us, as a small team: On access: no writing school offers perpetual access — every program, everywhere, runs for a defined term, and ours is a full year. Where we differ is that our writers can keep everything beyond that year — every course, every live class — for £49 a month or £499 a year, which comes to around £1.37 a day. We couldn't price it lower for our much-valued member writers and keep the provision live, and the provision is the point: this summer's Big Edit Challenge alone has brought 21 events — panels with our team and with external agents and editors, eleven study group sessions, the Pitch Party — plus The Line Editing Bootcamp, 20 entirely new lessons added to The Big Edit at no extra cost. On revision: every writer making this journey faces more than a few drafts. All of us at The Novelry have been there ourselves, and we teach from that experience. The vitals of craft bear repeating, and we return to them deliberately, because that's how they sink in. When it all comes together, you'll have the way through to a publishing-standard novel as an author, for life. I am glad to see your feedback on your very recent editorial session left you with clear direction. I do hope you'll take heart and take the next step with this draft. You can do this. We're at [email protected] anytime you need us. We wish you all the very best, Deb, always. Warmly, Louise
It’s our huge pleasure to work with you, and a privilege to be part of your story as a writer. Thank you for trusting us and for such kind feedback. Here’s to the next chapter! Warmly, Louise
Hi Jane - I am so pleased to read this! Thank you so much for sharing. If you enjoyed The Big Idea, you will love The Big Write, as it's so satisfying to see it all come together before your eyes. You'll love working with your author coach, who will keep you safe and on track all the way to "The End". We're so happy to have you with us. Warmly, Louise x
Hi Brent - what a great review! We're pleased to be a delicious "trifecta". Chapeau! Huge congrats to you on those immortal words all writers long to write. We can't wait to see this after you've gone through the rounds with our amazing editors. For now, feet up with a good book or eight! Warmly, Louise
Hi Jen — thank you for this generous review. We're glad the lessons and the community are doing their job. Yes, The Novelry is built for serious writers. We'll be with you every step of the way. Louise x
Hi Tracy, Thank you so much for this review. We're so delighted to hear we're getting you up every day, excited to write! Making time for your creative life, and feeling confident you're using that time smartly, is what we're all about. We're here for you and so happy to have you in our community of writers. Here's to you! Louise x
Hi Stephanie. Ah! Thank you so much for this. It's such a joy to have you with us. Here's to you and your most wonderful adventures in fiction! Warmly, Louise x
Hi Katie - this is such a lovely review. Simran is fabulous, and we think the world of her, so it's super to get this feedback on her feedback! Thanks for your kind words about The Novelry and the team, too. We all really appreciate it, and we're so proud to be part of your story. Here's to you, and keep up the great work! Louise x
Hi Elisha, Thanks so much for this lovely feedback. We appreciate it. Enjoy every moment of the journey! Warmly, Louise
Hi Chris — thank you so much for this review, and well done on finishing that first draft. That's a milestone to celebrate. We're proud to be far from formulaic, and to work one-on-one with writers like you. Because, just as Maugham hinted, no two books are the same, no two authors are the same, and we prefer to arm you with tools, not rules. I'm so glad your editor has given you just what you needed, and I'll be sure to pass your thanks along to Francine. We're looking forward to this novel very much indeed. Here's to the next draft! Louise x
Thank you, Keely. Clarity is exactly what The Big Idea is designed to deliver— glad it's set you up well for the road ahead on The Finished Novel Course. Wishing you happy writing and enjoy every moment! Louise x
The Novelry
Thank you, Ursula. So glad the breadth of lessons, the workshops and the coaches are working for you — that's the heart of what we do. Wishing you happy writing! Louise x
Hi Kyle - thanks so much for your review. We're happy to have you with us and hope you're enjoying every step of The Finished Novel Course! Warmly, Louise
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry The Novelry wasn't the right fit, and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts honestly. We take feedback like this seriously, particularly where it highlights friction in the experience — because honest criticism, even when it's hard to read (!), helps us improve what we offer. We love what we do, and we love working with writers. I'm so sorry the experience felt overwhelming. Our library is vast, you're right — because The Novelry serves writers across every genre and stage of the journey. Navigating the resources does take a little effort, and we're always here to guide you. We answer every member question within 24 hours through our live community and by email. If you're still a member, please do reach out — for anything at all. On coaching: yes, this is a fair point. We don't browbeat our coaches to follow a rote method — that would be wrong for everyone concerned. Our coaches are working, bestselling authors across a range of genres, and they naturally bring different approaches, which helps writers find what works for them. The structured lesson pathway — provided by me as founder — is the singular learning track that holds it all together. We've spent nine years making sure that flexibility serves writers: a solid, paced writing pathway, plus the ability to get bespoke one-to-one guidance that works for them and their book. Most importantly — congratulations on pitching independently and succeeding. That took real courage, and it's exactly the kind of writer confidence we hope to build. I'm genuinely happy for you, and so glad you got that result. Well done on the willpower and determination it took to get there. If you'd like to be in touch, please reach out at [email protected]. I'm always here for each and every writer — as is the entire team. We'd welcome the chance to make things right. Warmly, Louise
Hi Lisa - that's so great to hear! Thank you so much for your kind review. We can't wait to see what you're cooking up. If you enjoyed The Big Idea, you'll have a blast with The Big Write. Here's to you! Happy Easter! Louise
Thank you so much for this Rachael. We're so delighted to have you with us and the team will be chuffed to bits to see this and hear that you have your novel rocking and rolling! Enjoy every moment of the editing stage — it’s where the most beautiful version of your vision emerges and we'll be right there with you to cheer you on. Here's to you! Louise x
