Equipment Protection charges may be applied when compliant insurance coverage is not maintained on financed or leased equipment. Prior to any coverage being placed, notifications are sent and customers are provided time to submit updated insurance information. These requirements and processes are in place to help ensure the equipment remains properly protected throughout the term of the agreement We would also like to clarify that Amur does not charge customers to request, review, or obtain their account balance information. Balance details can be provided at any time, and there are no limitations on customers contacting us for this information. We appreciate your feedback and will continue looking for ways to improve the overall experience we provide.

At Amur, maintaining valid insurance coverage on financed equipment is a contractual requirement, and we do make efforts to proactively reach out when proof of insurance is missing, expired, or does not meet the required coverage standards. In some situations, charges can occur not because coverage did not exist, but because we did not receive acceptable documentation. That said, we understand the importance of transparency and clear communication. We want to ensure you have a full understanding of any charges applied to your account and the reason behind them. We appreciate you maintaining your insurance records and bringing your concerns forward. Our goal is always to work collaboratively with our customers and provide as much clarity as possible throughout the process.
