My experience with Soultrip was amazing, Dorji is a nice person, so helpful and friendly, and so is Sonam. The only thing that I've noted was the soultrip didn't remind me about the zigzag road, maybe it would have been more convenient if the traveller was reminded to bring some candies or sour things and mint aromatherapy or something similar to avoid the dizziness. Beside that.. everything is perfect for me, Soultrip, will see you in the next trip.

Special Bhutan! Thank you so much for arranging a…
Thank you so much for arranging a really lovely private tour. Very detailed information given to us prior to the set off made the preparations easier, especially for people who have little time to do detailed research.
The pace of the tour was just nice, not too packed, not uneventful. There was care to spread it out so that it wasn’t 2 similar things back to back. This helps in our appreciation, and also takes into consideration that physical fitness of the travellers.
Our guide Yeshey Dema was so lovely, knowledgeable and gave us space to also take pictures or interact with the environment. She managed our expectations about what to carry from day to day or even what to wear. It was also useful to know how long we would take to climb up to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which is the crown jewel of the trip. Our driver, PG, was attentive, always anticipating if we needed help with making it up a slope or offering to help us with bags or a forgotten jacket left at a restaurant. Truly the hospitality of the Bhutanese is unmatched! Our guide took us to a local home for lunch one day. It was the best meal of the trip, prepared by the host and her parents. The wind at the farm/hillside was also unexpectedly strong. It was quite a thrill to walk along irrigated farmland to get to the house. What an experience! The host markets her homestay on TikTok.
I would say some things for travellers to perhaps understand is a Bhutanese meal for tourist tends to be a buffet. In this spread of about 5-7 dishes, only 1 dish might/will be a meat dish. If you are a meat eater, you may need to be prepared for this.
And when choosing accommodation, it would be great to have more pictures or videos of the various hotels to pick. The one we stayed at in Punakha made an impression on me: Dharma Siddhi. Again, very personalised, very quaint place, big rooms, lovey mountain location which gives you a fantastic view of the fortress esp at night. They even lent us a spare SIM card when our internet connection was less than stable with e-SIM.
Also, while Druk Air is the national carrier, and the pilots very skilful, it’s good to know that the plane is a small one. This could be one of the reasons why you would always experience at least some turbulence when landing at Paro Airport.
I managed to do whatever I wanted to for a week’s itinerary, except maybe the rafting down Mochu, the Mother River at Punakha. Bring extra clothes if you’re doing that cos it’s quite irresistible to jump in. But when you get out of the water, it will be cold. The wind will make sure of that!

A special thanks for highlighting the efforts of Yeshey Dema and PG.
The local home visit and meal sound like an unforgettable experience! :)
We also appreciate your tips on accommodations, meals, and flights, which will surely help future travelers. And we hope you’ll return someday to experience the Mochu River rafting. It’s always exciting to have something new to look forward to!
Wishing you more amazing travels ahead, and we’d be honored to welcome you back to Bhutan in the future! Tashi Delek.
Quality of restaurants can be better and lodging at Gangtey was below expectation. Water heater system was not good. We had to boil water to take our bath. I think you should review the choices of your hotel offerings as well as restaurants for the meals. For our last dinner at Paro, we requested to have it at Mountain Cafe. It turns out to be good. It shows that there are good restaurants in Bhutan.

We had 6 wonderful days in Bhutan. A Special Thank You goes to the guide Sonam and the driver Lhendup, they were simply the best! I was traveling with a 3 years old kid and 75 years grandma. They have arranged the journey suitable to them too! They have been so nice to help me carrying the little boy during the trip to the Tiger’s nest. Really touched by how helpful they were!

Tashi Delek.
Our guide and driver were terrific, we couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable, friendlier, efficient pair who went out of their way to intuit and meet our smallest needs and wishes. Highly, highly recommend Sonam and Dechen. You guys were tremendous.
However, our first experience of Bhutan was the Capitol Hotel in Thimpu, which was underwhelming. It is a 3-star business travel hotel, totally unsuited to a high-end tourist travel experience. This stood out in sharp contrast to the other 2 hotels - Dhensa in Punaka and Como in Paro - both of which were more appropriate to the experience.
The vehicle had defective seat belts at the back - given the mountainous terrain, this was a concern, though the driver to pains to make manual adjustments where he could. This is definitely an area of improvement.
Dealing with DrukAsia was a pleasure both in Singapore and Bhutan. They were efficient and responsive.

We had a wonderful time in Bhutan. Excellent and prompt communication from the outset, resulting in a holiday that ran like clockwork throughout. Our guide and driver were outstanding. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about history, culture, flora and fauna of his country. The driver was also extremely knowledgeable and we felt very safe in their care.
The accommodation was superb, particularly in Punakha. However by the end of the tour, we felt the food was lacking in variety.

When Michael told me of thus trip in Sep 24, I signed up almost immediately and did not regret it st all..
A wonderful trip led by Master Photographer Michael who not only been to Bhutan like 12x but his special relationship with the people there opened opportunities that made a difference.
Ugyen from DrukAsia was very responsive to enquiries and helped to organised an additional day in Paro. Excellent customer service Thank you is not enough!
Our guide Chencho was very patient and proved to be a great hp photographer for the ladies. Sanjay our driver was careful driver taking care of us all..
Overall, a fabulous trip with a great team.

6 of us had a 5 days trip in Bhutan covering Phunaka, Thimpu and Paro. The highlight of the trip was the visit to Tiger Nest temple with its challenging hike. We had a great time exploring the cities, temples and especially Bhutan culture. We were very impressed with the fact that English is well spoken by almost everyone. Our guide, Tshering Dorji had a perfect English and a wealth of knowledge on each and every place we visited. In fact both our guide and the driver accompanied us and assisted us during the hike to the Tiger Nest. We were grateful and super satisfied with the arrangement. Highly recommended tp use their services

The exchange of correspondence during the planning of the trip was so smooth and efficient. They respond asap and very accommodating in answering inquiries. They were also flexible with our requests. Our guide and driver were very helpful with our daily schedule giving us tips and recommendations since we don’t want to be overwhelmed and tired with all activities that were in the proposed itinerary. They made sure that we were always comfortable. We had the best 9 days stay in Bhutan!!!! ☺️

Tashi Delek!
Stayed in Bhutan for 14 days during winter.
Bhutan is indeed stunningly beautiful. However, I could have had a much more memorable stay had the itinerary been made more thoughtful. Not much attention was given to the winter itinerary that the agency sent me. It appeared more of a template suitable for spring and autumn. Many shops and places of interest were closed during my visit, which, of course, I only found out when I was already there. Some days were dull, with nothing to do, leading to boredom. I was told that I should "perhaps discuss this with the guide," which I did. My guide did her best to fill in the gaps in the itinerary. However, with the limited options for her to present, there was also not much she could do, and I do not blame her. For instance, three days were allocated for Bumthang, but I wasted two days because there was nothing much to do. The suggestion to change to another location came in at the second night, so I practically wasted two days already. This would have been avoided if careful attention was given to the proposed itinerary prior to my travel, and not during my stay. Alternatives should have been in place. I wish the agency was transparent on communicating about the ideal length of stay for winter. I would have felt more fulfilled for 10 days than staying 14 days with a stretched itinerary.
Whether one travels off-peak or peak season, all travellers deserve to get their money's worth.
And then there were some issues with the accommodation of my hardworking guide and driver. They had limited access to a proper heating system and hot water on those freezing winter nights. One time, I tried to negotiate with a hotel representative to provide them with access to hot water, and he gave me a rude response. (That hotel was Bhutan Mountain Resort.)
But on the positive side of things, I am blessed to have spent this journey with my guide and my driver. My guide, Tshewang, has a very kind heart yet strong. I will forever remember all those hikes and cliffs that we braved together. My driver, Thinley, is smart, funny and a good conversationalist. He could make a good guide for a socio-economic trip. Not to mention, he can take good photos! DrukAsia is lucky to have them. They are for keeps.

Kuzuzangpo la, Winter Guest!
Thank you for sharing your honest experience. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve and create better trips for our travelers.
We're so glad to hear that you connected well with your guide, Tshewang, and driver, Thinley. They’re both wonderful at what they do, and we’re lucky to have them on our team. Your kind words truly mean a lot.
That said, we’re really sorry that your itinerary didn’t fully meet your expectations, especially given the differences in seasonal travel. We understand how frustrating it must have been to find places closed and to have idle time that could have been better planned. Your feedback is truly valuable, and we’ll work on improving our winter itineraries and being more upfront about ideal trip lengths for each season.
We also appreciate you bringing up the accommodation concerns for your guide and driver. Their comfort matters to us, and we’ll be looking into this to ensure better arrangements moving forward.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts. We hope that despite the challenges, you still carry great memories of Bhutan. If you ever decide to visit again, we’d love the chance to create a better experience for you. Tashi Delek.
The sceneries at Bhutan were awesome. The food was delicious; I liked how the food was prepared in variety in an attempt to not bore the eater. My guide Ms. Tshewang accommodated my wishes and the driver Mr. Puk (not sure spelling) was kind and always with smiley face. It was a comfortable trip.

Your service was great but in my case at age 80 I don't think the Tiger paw monastery should have been on the list. A 3 hour climb to that place is for younger people.

Services all very good, very grateful for the friendly and helpful guide Tshewang and the driver Namgay. The trip was amazing because of their hard work. One star off is because the luggage was not handled well on the return trip from Bhutan to Singapore. It was all wet on the luggage case, and got a few scratches here and there.

Hospitable Flight Crew and Handsome Guide and Accommodating Hotels
I was secretly excited to wear the complimentary Gho upon the welcoming arms of my smiling guide Mr. Sangay Khandu and my driver, but was slightly disappointed to receive a welcoming scarf instead. But I was quickly introduced to a summary of the history of Bhutan as I was led to the over-view of the Paro International Airport just around the corner before taking a quick detour to the town and explore the interesting sights and daily lives of the residents.
As I was staying in several hotels over the next days as we explore Paro and Thimphu, my guide was patient and friendly and humorous despite the terrain we encountered and was brought to several places that made me feel like none of my days spent was under-fulfilled.
The only drawback was the fact that it was the season of Indian tourists that saw how they treated their tour guides with their unnecessary demands and behavior, but the staff still put up their best smiles and tried to accede to their requests to their best efforts.
Definitely a must to revisit this beautiful Kingdom!

Kuzuzangpo la Lawren! Thank you for sharing your Bhutan adventure with us. We appreciate your understanding regarding the seasonal challenges with other tourists. We look forward to welcoming you back to the beautiful Kingdom soon! Tashi Delek.
Bhutan is a lovely place with unique culture. The people here are warm, the environment is comfortable and the sceneries are beautiful. It is amazing to see how the people here could drive on the road without any traffic lights, and yet there is no impatient, reckless or angry drivers. This tells so much about the attitude and behaviour of the people. We truly love this place very much and this trip gives us so many fond memories.
Accommodation wise, the hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable, and with good views. However, the locations of the hotels were far from town. Once checked-in, there was nowhere we could stroll around outside the hotels.
The tour coordinator who we liaised with (Sonam Younten) was excellent. He was responsive and helpful, always gave clear and useful advices. He was understanding and always tried his best to fulfill our requests. He would explain clearly if any of our requests could not be met.
The driver (unfortunately we didn't note down his name) was polite and helpful, always ready to serve with a big and warm smile.
Unfortunately, we were unlucky to be assigned with a disappointing tour guide. Our tour guide (Kinzang Cheku) was unprofessional, irresponsible, unreliable, unhelpful, poor working attitude and full of lies and empty promises. Worst of all, he was late for almost 30 mins on the last day when we have to catch our flight to return home. We called him several times but there was no answer, leaving us panic at the hotel lobby.
We would definitely recommend our families and friends to visit Bhutan but never accept Kinzang Cheku to be their tour guide.
