Great itinerary which provided excellent engagement with local sights and festivities enhancing our awareness of Bhutan and its beautiful towns
We had a wonderful experience on our 10-day tour of Bhutan. Planning the tour with Ugyen went smoothly, most of our accommodations were at great locations that offered excellent views of the area, our tour guide (Kinley) and driver (Dechen) did a wonderful job in getting us to our destinations safely and enabling us a great experience of the highlights of the areas. On my second day in Thimphu, I was sick due to high altitude. Kinley took me to the hospital and stayed with me until after I was released while Dechen took my friend Rose sightseeing so she didn't miss out on the planned program. Ugyen and Kinley were constantly communicating to make sure our activities were not aggravating my altitude issues. I thank them for giving me and my friend Rose a wonderful experience in Bhutan.
My travel coordinator, Sangay, was exceptionally responsive and provided invaluable assistance throughout the planning process. The tour itself was excellent, as my guide, Tashie, demonstrated extensive knowledge regarding Bhutan’s rich history and culture. Furthermore, I would like to commend our driver, Thinley, for his professionalism and for ensuring our safety while navigating the winding terrain. Both team members were consistently attentive, ensuring my comfort and addressing all inquiries with promptness. Even with the busy season, they still made time for a little picnic in nature, which was a nice change of pace. Appreciate their efforts.

We joined the 10 days tour by Druk Asia / SoulTrips as a family & friends group of 9. We all have a wonderful & memorable experience in Bhutan.
Special thanks to Sonam Younten (travel specialist), ChenCho Lham (tour guide) and Passang Tshering (driver).
The communication and booking process was very responsive and smooth with Sonam. We basically followed the recommended itinerary and it was great. A last minute request to split the group to separately stay in hotel and home stay for a night was also fulfilled.
Just the night prior to our departure from Singapore, one of us encountered a problem and might not be able to catch the flight. Sonam helped us to search for alternative flight option with clear action step and cost implication. His prompt response gave us a sense of security and a peace of mind. At the end, lucky that we managed to get on the plane altogether.
Chencho, our guide, was cheerful, friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, passionate, extremely responsible & caring throughout our entire journey.
Her explanations really helped us understand and appreciate Bhutan beyond just seeing the beautiful scenery, lovely people, traditional architectures, grand fortresses and monasteries.
She patiently answered all the questions we have. She would even consult a monk when she was unsure about the meaning of the paintings in a monastery before explaining to us. Her professionalism was appreciated.
We are a group with different physical levels,
Chencho was always attentive to the needs of each of us. During our hikes, she made sure that nobody was left behind and was always mindful of everyone's pace & safety.
On one occasion, some of us went for a massage in the downtown area and later had difficulty getting a taxi. Chencho went the extra mile to borrow a car from her friend and drove us back to hotel.
Another evening, one of us suddenly felt like vomiting at around 9pm. Chencho, together with our driver Passang Tshering, immediately accompanied him to the hospital to make sure he was seen by a doctor and received the necessary medication to ease his discomfort. She proactively requested hotel to prepare chicken soup for him, too.
Passang is a very skilful, experienced & confident driver with 22 years of experience. Throughout the whole journey, we felt very safe & comfortable.
We were amazed to see how he smoothly past through all the narrow roads, especially when there were cars coming from the opposite direction.
We secretly admired his relaxing one-handed steering skill on the highway. His ease to make sharp turns was also amazing to see.
Passang also has very sharp eyes to spot snake, monkeys, birds, deer while driving. Happy surprises & photo time for us.

What stayed with me were the gentleness, kindness and hospitality of the people of Bhutan and DrukAsia staff. Great planning and designing tour support. Very responsive, clear and concise.
Superb guide and driver.
Very comfortable van with wider and reclinable seats. All the meals planned were very good especially the vegetables. Chicken are good too but beef or pork tend to be tougher. We liked all our lodgings and some were upgraded.
Bhutan is a very special country. Only by seeing you will believe their uniqueness.

Bhutan is in my travel bucket list. Finally I put my plan to action. So I engaged DrukAsia and Soultrip to plan for my trip. Lhendup (guide) and Kencho (driver) are taking good care of me and my group. As my group are all introverts, Lhendup tried to warm us up with riddles and small talks. Kencho driving skill is excellent. Both of them are fun people.
Hopefully to meet them again when I re-visit Bhutan.

Wonderful week tour of Bhutan. I was amazed by the architecture, culture, clothing and lovely people. My guide and driver (Sonam1 and Sonam2, they share the same first name) were excellent and took care of me everywhere we went.
Loved learning about Bhutan’s GNH, Buddhist culture and spirituality through comprehensive explanations with guide, Sonam.
The itinerary covers great diversity, showcasing the dzongs (fortress/manastery), stupas and mandalas, prayer wheels, a living museum of interesting cultural shows, animals (takins, cranes and monkeys), day hikes through forests and rice paddies, healthy and tasty local food.
My driver, Sonam, was always attentive to opening doors and carrying my things, showing a lot of courtesy to other vehicles and driving very safely on winding and hilly terrain. Service and comfort was excellent throughout.

Beyond the Itinerary: The Little Things That Made Bhutan Special
What made my trip to Bhutan memorable wasn’t just the places I visited, but also the people who made the journey such a pleasant experience.
My experience with DrukAsia began with Sanjay, who was always responsive and willing to answer my many questions during the planning process. I really appreciated his assistance.
Throughout the trip, our guide, Ugyen, was genuinely thoughtful and attentive. She frequently checked whether I was getting enough rest and whether I was comfortable with the itinerary. What I particularly appreciated was how she always reminded me that the itinerary wasn’t set in stone, and that if there was something else I wanted to experience, they would be happy to accommodate it. It was reassuring to know that the journey could unfold at my own pace.
Ugyen also took the time to explain Bhutan’s history and the significance of the dzongs we visited, which made those visits more meaningful.
And then there was Dechen, our driver. We hardly spoke, but sometimes thoughtfulness doesn’t need many words. I noticed how mindful he was of the uneven roads, taking care as he drove us along the way. One small gesture that stayed with me was when he spontaneously stopped by the roadside to get me some roasted corn and an apple. Nothing elaborate, just an unexpected act of kindness that I found genuinely touching.
Looking back, it was these little things that made the experience special. The flexibility, the consideration, the sharing of knowledge and those spontaneous gestures of kindness.

Excellent service and scenery that created lasting memories
Top notch service right from the start of trip enquiry to completion of the tour. The travel agent, Ugyen, was so patient in answering all enquires and even worked overtime to push thru our Visa even though fault was on one travel member's part for extremely late submission of passport photo.
Tour guide, Kin Ley, was a fun and knowledgeable guy who took the unreasonable behavior of one tour mates well. We had fair amount of last min changes to our itinerary which he accommodated which meant he had a more tiring job as we did a little more trekking.
Driver, Leky, was a fun addition and was always there to assist. Both of them made the trip even more extraordinary and enjoyable.
Bhutan is such a beautiful and peaceful place with some parts looking like Switzerland with vast grassland and dispersed farms. Weather can be unpredictable as we encountered hail stones on way back to Paro. People are always polite and friendly. I was already enquiring where else in Bhutan is worth visiting in future just midway thru my tour. Bhutan is a must visit at least once in life time to enjoy the scenery, culture and hospitality. A small group tour with Soultrip which offers some flexibility in the itinerary is an excellent choice!

My Bhutan journey with DrukAsia / SoulTrips was truly fantastic. After travelling to nearly 40 countries, I can honestly say this was the best trip I’ve ever had.
From the beginning, Sangay, my trip advisor, was incredibly patient and prompt in answering all my questions and accommodating my requests. The flexibility in arranging the itinerary made the whole experience feel very personal rather than like a standard tour.
Sonam and Guruji were more than just my guide and driver — they were my travel buddies from the very beginning. We talked, joked, shared plenty of little moments, and they were always patient with my endless questions, photography stops and attempts at speaking Dzongkha.
Sonam made Bhutan’s history, culture and traditions come alive, while patiently teaching me Dzongkha along the way. By the end of the trip, I could even name most of the common Bhutanese dishes in Dzongkha, and little expressions like “Gaji bey?” and “Log jay gay!” had naturally become part of our conversations.
Guruji handled the winding mountain roads with great skill and professionalism. Even the long drives became part of the fun, with plenty of conversation and laughter.
Looking back, it wasn’t just the spectacular landscapes, dzongs (fortresses), goembas (monasteries), lhakhangs (temples) and festivals that made Bhutan so memorable. It was the people, conversations, laughter and little moments along the road.
I came to Bhutan as a traveller and left feeling that I had made two new friends. Kadrinchey la, Sonam and Guruji — I hope our paths cross again one day. Log jay gay! 🇧🇹

It is our first time to Bhutan and we have wanted a cultural experience over 8 days. The itinerary is generally well organised with some days more packed then others. We think it can be more evenly spaced out, although the guide did managed the pace well & conscious not to rush us through the items.
Thanks to our guide’s lunch recommendations, we’ve managed to taste all the Bhutanese cuisines at local restaurants that are rather quiet & comfortable. Given most sightseeing site closes at 5pm, the evening is generally free, which we like as we prefer to slow down during holidays.
Despite having visited numerous monasteries & repeated explanations from our guide, we felt that we’ve only glazed the surface of the Bhutanese Buddhism culture. It is still nonetheless a very enriching experience and triggered our interest to find out more through internet searches.
Arranging the stone bath experience after the hike to Tiger’s Nest was very thoughtful. It maximises the benefits of the stone bath and also relieved us from the muscle pain from the hike.
The Himalayan landscape is stunning wherever you look and the drives between cities/towns allow us to comfortably enjoy the view. Roads are not always well-maintained (especially in the rural areas), we have the best driver that offered us an overall comfortable and safe experience.

On our leg to Pao on 22 Sept, we we were sitting at row 22. The lunch ran out of meat so we were told only vegetarian ones are available.
This is really unacceptable for a full fare flight!
