Extremely poor claims service and unacceptable response times
I would strongly advise against using ExpatFinder as an insurance broker.
The claims process is extremely outdated, requiring paper claim forms and unnecessary administrative work in 2026. There is no proper tracking system, making it very difficult to know which claims have been received, processed or reimbursed.
Reimbursement delays are unacceptable. I have had to repeatedly follow up on outstanding claims, often without receiving any response.
Even more concerning, pre-approval requests for medically necessary examinations are simply ignored for days, despite the insurer's stated response targets. This leaves patients unable to schedule important medical investigations.
Communication is by far the biggest issue. Emails regularly go unanswered, there is no proactive follow-up, and it is almost impossible to obtain a status update.
For a company dealing with people's health and medical expenses, this level of service is unacceptable. I expected professional support and efficient claims management but experienced the exact opposite. I cannot recommend ExpatFinder based on my experience.
I moved to ZA just a few weeks ago, I just want to say that the service on this site is great and it got me quotes from moving companies right away. I'm very happy with the service.

Don't usually write things like this, but I'm really very pleased with this website that I feel like I have to. Moved to Vietnam recently, and got all my stuff shipped and packed, got insurance, got relocations service and even cost of living advice from this site. It's great. Now i'm all set. Thanks
