Flalingo currently receives more than 300 teacher applications every day from different parts of the world. We are grateful for this strong interest, but it also means that reviewing each application properly can take time. Our teacher selection process is not based only on a profile, a short video or an automated screening result. Every interview is conducted by real recruiters, and each application is evaluated carefully by our team. On average, around three people are involved in reviewing a single candidate, and more than two hours of total team time can be spent on one application throughout the process. This is because we want to understand not only a tutor's qualifications, but also their teaching approach, communication style, professionalism, reliability and ability to support learners effectively. We know this level of review may make the process longer, but it is also one of the reasons we are able to maintain the quality of the Flalingo learning experience. Our learners trust us to connect them with skilled, responsible and supportive tutors, and our tutor community deserves to work in a professional environment where teacher quality is taken seriously. For that reason, we prefer a careful human-led recruitment process rather than a quick but superficial one. That said, your point is completely valid: a detailed evaluation process should still be accompanied by better communication.
