We are disappointed to read this review, as it does not accurately reflect what took place during your visit. The safety and welfare of our patients is always our priority, and we categorically reject the suggestion that we would allow an animal to suffer because of finances. Emergency treatment options, estimated costs and payment arrangements were discussed in line with our normal procedures. Your account also omits the reason your registration with our practice was terminated. This decision was not related to payment or your decision to seek treatment elsewhere. It was made because members of your party threatened violence towards our staff and behaved in an intimidating manner in reception, causing distress to both our team and other clients. We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening or intimidating behaviour, and we will always act to protect our staff and those visiting our practice. We appreciate that emotions can run high during emergencies, but our team should never be subjected to abuse or threats whilst carrying out their duties. We wish your dog all the best with their recovery. Edit: Our website clearly states all prices are subject to change and all surgical prices do not include general anaesthetic. Please note we have CCTV of the incident. We welcome any further correspondence and will cooperate fully as we have a right to defend our team against abusive, threatening and violent behaviour.

The cost we discussed was significantly lower than the amount mentioned here. You chose instead to obtain a written prescription from the referral service, which we completely respected.
