Hi Roberta,
We're sorry to hear about your experience and thanks for being a longtime customer of Restaurant.com. While your certificates from 2011 are still valid to be exchanged, it is a very good idea to call ahead. Since 2011, the COVID pandemic really hurt the restaurant industry and many restaurants changed ownership or closed entirely. We've been working feverishly to identify and remove restaurants from our website that fall under this category so that our directory is fresh and reliable as it always had been - pre-pandemic. Please know that you can exchange your unused certificates from 2011 with no questions asked. Your points never expire so you are free to choose any other participating restaurant that you'd like. We hope you try something new and have an amazing meal out!
Hi Karen,
We've reached out to you for further information in an effort to help you. If you have a physical card with a code on it, you must redeem it on our website first simply by entering the code. Then you can choose a restaurant that is participating. To claim your savings, bring either a printed certificate to the restaurant or show the digital certificate on the Restaurant.com app (no printer required!). Please respond back and we are happy to address your issue.
Hi Dan,
We're sorry you feel this way. The pandemic did a number on the restaurant industry and destroyed many local dining establishments. We're not sure when the last time you check in with us was, but we've made quite a few changes in the past year. We've been working tirelessly to identify and remove restaurants who did not make it through the pandemic and at the same time, we are bringing on many new restaurants to fill that void. We're also under new management and our top priority is a clean and reliable restaurant directory - and we've made serious progress in achieving this. We hope you'll give us another try to see how much progress has been made to support our country's local restaurant community. All the best to you!

Hi "Around the Corner" - We're sorry to hear about your experience. And many of our most loyal customers also have certificates from over a decade ago. As you're probably aware, the pandemic destroyed many local restaurants - the types of restaurants that are part of the Restaurant.com family. You'll need to call ahead to see if restaurants from 10+ years ago are still in business. Whether they are or aren't, you are always welcome to exchange your certificates for new restaurants - even your certificates from over 10 years ago are eligible for exchange. We hope you'll exchange your old certs for new restaurants that have come on board since the pandemic. All the best to you - and we hope your next dining adventure is amazing!
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you and your guest had a meal somewhere and the service wasn't great. Unfortunately, we can only manage the discounting portion of the experience. We hope you at least got a great deal and we're so happy to see people out and dining again!
Hi Jennifer - Thank you so much for being a loyal customer for so many years! It's great to hear that you've been enjoying the savings for the last 20 years! Here's to many more!
Hi EM,
We're sorry to hear about your experience - that is not the experience we want you or any diners to have. And thankfully, most diners have a great experience. Our team would be happy to speak with you about the restaurant difficulties you encountered to help sort it out. We aggressively remove inactive restaurants as soon as we hear about them and would love to understand more if you're willing to assist. Thanks so much for being a loyal Restaurant.com diner!
Hi A Snider - If you can kindly let us know the name of the restaurant that said this, we would like to reach out to them to speak to them about their participation. Restaurant.com has thousands of participating restaurants nationwide and occasionally, a restaurant will decide to no longer accept without letting us know. We aggressively remove restaurants from our website as soon as we discover these one-off situations. We're sorry for the inconvenience - as restaurants agree to participate. If you're willing to report the restaurant, we'd like to get it off of our site so others won't run into the same issue. Thanks!
Hi Peter,
We're sincerely sorry to hear about your experience, however, Waffle House is not on our website. We see that you received your points credited back to your account so you can use them at any other participating restaurant on our site - and your points never expire.
Hi Dionne,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience - that’s understandably frustrating. Restaurant.com works with local restaurants that choose to participate, and occasionally a location may close or leave the program before listings are updated.
Your unused certificates still hold their full value and can be exchanged anytime on our website. We also recommend checking with the restaurant ahead of time to confirm participation.
If you’re looking for more variety, our Dining Discount Pass includes offers from over 100,000 restaurants and nationally recognized brands. If you need any assistance please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team!
Hi Jean,
We’re sorry to hear this has been your experience - that’s certainly not what we want for our customers. Our certificates are accepted at participating restaurants, and while availability can vary by location/zip code, many customers are able to successfully redeem them when checking participation ahead of time.
Your points never expire and can be used anytime on our website or app, including splitting them into smaller denominations for more flexibility. If you’re looking for broader options, our Dining Discount Pass offers access to over 100,000 restaurants and nationally recognized brand.
We’d really like the opportunity to help turn this around for you - please reach out to our support team so we can assist.
Hi Lilian,
Thanks for sharing this feedback and we’re very sorry to hear about your experience. Restaurants that choose to participate are expected to understand and honor their offers, so it’s disappointing to hear that this location spoke negatively about Restaurant.com and created a frustrating situation for you. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Unused certificates can be exchanged at any time, and if local dining options are limited in your zip code, the Dining Discount Pass is another option with access to more than 100,000 national offers. Just exchange your certificate and redeem for the Dining Discount Pass.
Hi Franklin,
We're sorry to hear you had an issue redeeming your emoviecash code. You should have received two separate emails: one from Restaurant.com and one from eMovieCash. If you didn't receive them, please check your spam folder. If you still don't see them, please call our customer service and our team will ensure you receive them.
Hi AZ,
We're sorry for your frustration and all of the restaurants on our site have agreed to offer the deals that are posted. If you've stumbled across a restaurant that is no longer accepting the deal, please let us know so that our team can contact that restaurant. You can also redeem your points for the dining discount pass good at over 100,000 establishments nationwide. If you're having trouble with that, please reach out and we'll be happy to help you with it. We're sorry for any confusion or frustration and are happy to assist you so you can go out and have a meal and enjoy yourself.

Hi Tanua,
We appreciate you being a longtime customer. As you know we've been offering dining deals for over 25 years. Occasionally, a restaurant will stop accepting our deals. Many times it's because they come under new ownership and aren't aware of the program (this happened a lot during and in the aftermath of the pandemic). We'd like to reach out to any restaurant you've had an issue with and help resolve the situation. Thank you again for being a longtime customer! We wish you many more happy dining excursions for years to come.
Hi Tom,
We're so sorry you had a bad experience on several recent occasions. That's not what we want for any of our customers. We reached out to you to request your information so that we can solve this situation for you. If you can kindly respond, we'll get this sorted out for you.
Hi Sandra,
Thank you for your feedback. We're really sorry to hear about this situation and we'd like to assist. We requested your information so that we can resolve this for you and so that you can enjoy your dining deals as you intended. I'd like to assure you that we regularly update our website but unfortunately when restaurants close, they don't always notify us. This was more of an issue during the pandemic when many restaurants weren't able to make it through. If you'd be so kind to respond to our request for information, we'd like to look into this for you.
