I spoke with a very good advisor based…

I spoke with a very good advisor based in Chicago. I liked him and communicated well with him. Unfortunately, he could not help me, because I am an American citizen living outside the USA. He did not know this when we first spoke. But, he found out that it was not legal,, and he and his company could get in trouble. It seems absurd to me that an American living abroad cannot get financial guidance from a professional in the US. What else is new with our insane government?

I went with an advisor that i was unaware of before the WiserAdvisor match. I was provided three potential financial advisor firms within the criteria I asked for. So far, the three have followed up within my needs and some have provided good information for me to move forward.

Of the two recommended financial advisors one did not offer the service that I had asked for and the other one does offer that service but also has a conflict of interest by having another division that actually provides investments so it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for so I may still end up using the second one
