Beware Fafrees Refurbished bikes
Refurbished Fafrees F20 Pro Review. Order no SP9654 Beware “refurbished” bikes. The bike was delivered with several damaged areas on the box which were noted and recorded by the carrier. The bike was removed from the box but had no protective packaging whatsoever applied to it although a few items of packaging were in the bottom of the box. Regrettably this had, seemingly caused several scratches, scuffs and dents to the beautiful paintwork due to the handlebars freely moving around, both ends of which showed signs of damage. The front Tire was reading 16psi and the rear tire was reading 0 psi (flat). Both were muddy. The battery showed one quarter full. The max speed (P3) was set to 31mph (illegal) ODO & Trip showed 15 miles. No factory reset had been applied. Conclusons The packing of the bike was clearly inadequate and incompetent and the bike clearly had no “refurbishment” whatsoever. It would appear that this bike was returned by a customer and then was sent out uninspected and definitely not refurbished. Subsequent discussions with Fafrees Customer Service resulted in an offer of a 35l bag, a helmet and a 4 month extension of the warranty. When this was declined and a partial refund requested and reassurance that in future refurbishments were actually carried out, I found my emails blocked and no further discussion was possible. The actions of Fafrees Customer Service are a great shame as this seems a nice, well built bike with lovely paintwork, (when new!) and deserves better support.
