Amazing fidelity
I ordered a reproduction of a painting by Guardi : San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. There was a delay so I emailed Artisoo to ask what was going on. They emailed back quickly, saying there had been an accident and the artist was repainting the picture. It finally arrived, securely packed in a tube. It had been sent by air from Hong Kong to London Heathrow. Opening the canvas, I thought it was perhaps lightly painted. In addition, I looked on Google Images to see the original. At first, I was annoyed to see that details were changed and buildings moved around. I assumed that it was a freehand work by the artist. Then I looked again on Google Images and found a different original, the painting held in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg. The Artisoo reproduction was a perfectly exact version of that original. I had forgotten that Guardi painted many versions of the same subjects in Venice. I now have to arrange for the framing of this picture. It should look splendid when I hang it. I am very glad that I decided to use Artisoo in this matter. ,
