First good and then really bad
I had a contractor back out due to workload, so I turned to Angi's list. The plus: After checking the boxes for 5 options, I was contacted immediately by a contractor, met with him the next day, checked references and ended up using him. All went great. The minuses: Angi's list uses some kind of text response system masquerading as the actual contractor. It's both highly annoying and ineffective. Even though I responded to 3 or 4 of the texts I was never contacted by the actual contractor (except one, which is the one I used). One of these auto texts scheduled an appointment but no one showed up. I even received one of these automatic texts at 3:00am! Then the incessant follow-up texts and calls from Angi's list started. Crazy annoying. I finally talked to someone and asked nicely for the texts and calls to stop. They promised they would take care of it. Then, I received an email asking how that call went. Ugh! So ridiculous it's funny in a way. So, a good outcome but I had to pay the price. Would I use Angi's again. Not a chance.
