Google failing to properly vet advertisers
I have often bought items which appear on the ads at the top of the Google search page, but have just been totally ripped off by a clothing supplier called Wilson & Carter London. The jacket that was supplied wasn't fit to give to the charity shop. I am taking that up with the company, which has terrible reviews on Trustpilot, but I am concerned that Google has so totally failed to vet the suppliers which advertise on its pages. The company is called Wilson & Carter London and the home page of their web site shows Tower Bridge, London, but this is a Chinese company, with an office in the USA, which takes payment through a Polish company and appears to have no connection with London, or even England. Google should have systems in place to have identified these ads as fraudulent. Having trusted Google in the past I will never trust them again. I did try to complain direct to Google, but I found it impossible to work out how to direct the complaint to the right department.
