A company that doesn’t own its mistakes…
A company that doesn’t own its mistakes & has no respect for customers. I have ordered birthday cakes for 3 years from this company. Never again. I ordered a football cake (Liverpool) for my 8 year old son, cakes&bakes confirmed all piping would be red. When it arrived it was all pink. We contacted the company that evening & again the next morning to try to get it resolved before his party in the afternoon. We kept getting messages saying they would get back to us in 2 hours, which they did not. We got 2 eggless cakes elsewhere at an additional cost of £35 as we couldn’t use the cake they had delivered. I spoke with them this week & raised a complaint with pictures of cake & correspondence. They have responded with a formal email from head office quoting their policy (As per our policy, outlined on our website, any concerns must be reported within 5 hours of delivery with supporting pictures, and cakes must be returned with at least 90% remaining within 2 hours of delivery for review). Hard to do this, when despite raising it with them they kept fobbing us off, saying someone would contact us within 2 hours. They offered zero compensation. Having read other reviews, it is clear they take no ownership for their mistakes. Pathetic customer service.
