Cheap Chinese Plastic Crap
Once again a Chinese company pretends to be Australian. I was looking for a microscope as a Christmas present for my grandson and went out of my way to buy from what I thought was an Australian company. My order was so slow to process, then I got a shipping notification, then nothing for 5 days. As the order was supposedly coming from Sydney (2 hours away) I was a bit surprised, so I emailed them. I got a badly worded email back saying that shipping times from the many warehouses differed and then they finally sent me a tracking number. I was a bit surprised to discover that my package had been sitting in a Chinese shipping depot for a week. So I wrote to them about that and about misrepresenting their company and location. They ignored that. Today the item arrived and I knew that as soon as I opened it there would be problems. The only packaging inside was a torn, rolled up padded envelope. The box inside was dinged and banged up on nearly every corner (hardly what you want for a gift) and the microscope inside is a lightweight bit of plastic that feels like it will break as soon as you touch it. For $130 AUD I expected better. I am deeply unimpressed with this company, their products and their customer service. I now have just over 2 weeks to try and find a new (and better) present for my grandson while I begin the endless process of trying to get my money back from K&F. Edit: since writing this review K&F have given me a 15% refund and offered a 15%-off voucher in addition, in return for me taking my review down. I have had the same form-response that so many others have. I declined the voucher, as I did their previous voucher offer. Why would I want to shop with them again? Edit2: since the above KF have emailed me twice offering a $30 refund if I take down my review. I refused both times. It's obvious that KF try to control their negative reviews by buying people off. I told them my honesty wasn't for sale and that it mattered more to warn others about this company. Their response to my review was just ridiculous - I sent multiple photos of the damage to them the first time I contacted them. KF just lie and lie and lie and try to wear you down. Don't waste your time or money on their products.
