Always double check the Reference number!
I've used Grailzee for a couple of watches with good results. This time was different and left me with some doubt about the process. I bid on a watch, and before the auction closed I flagged to the seller that the reference number in the listing didn't match the model described. He said Grailzee had helped him with the reference number and confirmed the listing was accurate. I ended up winning as high bidder, then contacted Grailzee support right away to say I wasn't comfortable proceeding given the reference number discrepancy. Their response was to point me to the Bennison authentication report. I have a copy of it, and it lists the same incorrect reference number as the listing — a different case size and dial color than the actual watch. I declined the purchase based on that. The listing was later reposted with the same reference number error still in place. Worth noting for other buyers: cross-check reference numbers against the manufacturer's actual catalog, not just the listing or authentication paperwork.
