QIDI

Pick Your Filament… We’ll Pick Something Else

I contacted Qidi Technology the day before placing my order to confirm that the Plus 4 combo (with the box) was in stock and ready for dispatch. I was reassured that it was—so I placed the order. The printer arrived promptly, along with filament… but no box. Interestingly, a tracking number for it existed—just never actually moved. After chasing this up, I was informed the box was out of stock and I’d need to wait for the next shipment. Fair enough—except the estimated delivery date seemed to change depending on who I asked: early March, late March, then early April. It gave the impression that nobody really knew. I decided to wait and was offered two filaments of my choice as a goodwill gesture. Sounds great—until I received completely different filaments than the ones I selected. I don’t print in pink PLA, so they’re effectively useless to me. Offering “any filament of your choice” only to send random ones defeats the point entirely. To make matters worse, I was later offered ASA filament instead—which never arrived—and communication has since gone quiet. The filaments I did receive also lack NFC tags, which strongly suggests they’re older stock being cleared out (possibly from “mystery boxes”). Unsurprisingly, the box doesn’t recognise them. Overall, this experience has left a rather sour aftertaste. The product itself may be decent, but the customer service feels disorganised, inconsistent, and ultimately unreliable. It’s a shame, because it’s exactly the kind of experience that makes you consider a different brand next time. I eventually got one more roll of PETG so at least they keep their word to some extend.
