Jake has shared the reduced lens method of restoring vision for people who have myopia (nearsightedness), which most eye doctors do not share with their patients and most will even discourage. Endmyopia had links to studies, articles and videos. I prefer the videos, because the method requires reducing close up reading- which you need to do to read the articles to figure out how the method works.
