OK, not an actual scam, but poor quality, overpriced goods
I recently bought a light off of the LitFad.com website and it finally arrived today, about 10 weeks after I ordered it. It's a Wide Rose Gold Circular Chandelier Lighting Art Deco Agate Multi Lights Hanging Lamp Fixture. A bit of a mouthful, but we were looking for something a bit different for the dining room. So what finally arrived? Well, it did mostly arrive. The frame was there, though a little bent and bashed from it's travels. Packaging is not their strong point. The agate slices were well packed though, so no issues there. And the links to attach them to the frame were well packed too. There were no bulbs included in the package, so not ideal as a light source. The internal electrics though, are a bit shocking! (you see what I did there) The metal ceiling rose is earthed and it should also earth the main frame through the hanging wires, so that will probably be ok. It looks fine. The 240v mains cables though, go through the frame on very thin single insulated wires that could easily short to the metal frame. Not so great. I've decided not to put 240v lamps into the unit and instead convert it to low voltage 12v. There are a lot of people on here saying the site is a scam. I've not found that to be the case, but the goods are definitely over priced for what you get. Perhaps a lesson learned and I'll shop more locally from now on.
