Ongoing hardware failures, safety concerns, and inconsistent support with Ulefone Note 12
I am writing this review to document my experience with the Ulefone Note 12 and the manufacturer's after-sales support. Since purchasing this device in 2022, it has developed a series of critical and escalating faults. Documented Issues: Persistent Performance Failures (2023–2026): Since shortly after purchase, the device has suffered from charging failures, poor outbound audio quality, and inaccurate GPS/location services. Critical System Failure (2026): The handset now consistently enters a 'boot loop' during startup, rendering it unusable. Interface Failures: Intermittent screen blackouts occur during active calls, preventing basic phone control. Safety Hazard: Most recently, the side power button has begun to generate extreme heat during use, becoming hot enough to cause pain within half a second, posing a potential fire safety risk. Support Experience: I have engaged in extensive correspondence with Ulefone support since 2023. While the manufacturer at one stage acknowledged the issues and offered a free repair, they have subsequently retracted that offer. They now state the device is out of warranty and refuse to provide a replacement, offering only a paid repair service at my expense. I am sharing this experience to provide transparency for other consumers regarding the product's long-term durability and the manufacturer's inconsistent approach to after-sales support for UK customers.
