Morocco and the importance of guide/drivers
We wanted to share our feedback about the fantastic Moroccan trip that Ayse and I so enjoyed. One of the key features of the tour was having our own personal assistant and we were fortunate enough to have Kamal - who was such an amazing driver/guide - that we cannot praise him enough. On a scale of 1-10 he was a15 (fifteen!) We unfortunately started the trip with a self-inflicted Day 1 wound, believing we lost Ayse's wallet - which was for over a 24-hour period. But Kamal could not have been more supportive and positive. Being in an Arabic language-based country foreign to us, Kamal was incredible in helping us retrace our steps. Kamal took us back to the airport and took us to 1) security, 2) arrivals and 3) lost and found. While those were obvious places, on our own it would have taken us an incredibly long time - Kamal was able to do all in short order. His suggestions regarding filing a police report were appreciated. He was nothing but constructive and supportive - as was the entire support and admin team at experienceittours in general. In the end the wallet was found but what could have turned out to have been a destructive Day #1 on a 8-day tour of Morocco was averted. I cannot fully express how Kamal handled that Day 1 experience. How Kamal interacted with all the necessary parties in a land that was completely foreign to us. All this coming from an individual we JUST met! Kamal's professionalism, kindness, positivity, good humor, flexibility, suggestions, banter, dialogue/conversations, information, instruction, guidance, insights etc etc etc all done with a smile and humility were exceptional. I could go on and on. I don't know how many driver/guides experienceittours have but if Kamal is a typical ambassador/representative of the company then experienceittours is in absolutely great hands. Kamal being our guardian angel I think is the best way of describing our driver/guide. Whenever we had a problem or concern, question or were unsure of what do - Kamal would magically appear. It was as if he was in the ether somewhere and would somehow show up and make everything OK. While the tour was very good, having Kamal as our driver/guide took it to a whole new level. We have been very fortunate to be able to do a lot of traveling around the world. Western Europe, Scandinavia, Far East and all throughout the US but this Moroccan excursion is vaulted to one of the top we have ever experienced and that is a big part due to Kamal and the wonderful representation of the company. I don't know what kind of advertising experienceittours does but nothing can be better than having your customers shouting from the mountain tops that if you want to visit countries like Morocco, there is absolutely nothing better than how experienceittours does it and having guide/drivers as excellent as Kamal is the icing on the cake.
