Luba 2 Not That Great
Firstly there was a delay in shipping which customer services did not notify me about. I had to enquire. That should have been a red flag for the level of service I was to receive moving forward. I was quite excited to receive the Luba 2 5000 and at the weekend got to work setting it up. All seems simple enough. Programmme the do and don’t go areas. Great! I only want it to maintain 1 acre. The problems start when it randomly stops, goes beyond the perimeter or the ‘cutting discs overload’ (that’s common) and shuts downs. There are no pushed alerts to notify that it has an issue so if it does not receive attention it just stops. A few times I have been able to restart it by manually moving it via the app so it reinitiates. Mostly I have to start the process again. There no longer seems to be a function by which you can begin a certain percentage of the way through a task. It does not work at night if the ‘ambient light levels are too low’ again shutting down and needing to be reset. The run time is equivalent to the charge time. So if the task is calculated at 192 mins one needs to at least double that time to allow for charging. I have found that the Luba 2 needs to charge after about an hour and twenty mins, not the advertised 3 hours in the spec sheet. My relatively flat acre takes 3 days (21 hours with charging) to mow with Luba, as I have had to split it into 3 areas and programme each task for a day. it takes an hour and half on the ride on mower. I have emailed several times asking where the additional cutting blades are that should have been included in the promotion and have had no response. The in app customer service feature is frustrating and slow leaving one feel it is of no help. ‘We’ll pass this query on to the relevant department’ is the only response one gets. Just buy a ride on mower and have done with the hassle of having to reset and restart.
