Freshways wrap - absolutely unacceptable experience My son found a snail in his wrap, which is something no customer should ever have to deal with, especially when it’s a ready-to-eat product. This isn’t just unpleasant, it’s a serious failure in basic food safety and quality control. We received a long, technical response explaining how it “likely came from the lettuce” and outlining their processes. But in reality, none of that changes the outcome - a snail still made it through their system and into food that was sold for immediate consumption. Being told that they “can’t guarantee zero insects/snails” is not reassuring. Customers expect food to be safe and properly checked before it reaches the shelf, particularly when it’s being eaten without further washing or preparation. To make matters worse, the goodwill gesture was a €15 voucher, which feels completely inadequate given the nature of the issue -especially as it involved a child. Overall, very disappointing. The response felt more like deflection than accountability. I would seriously question the standards being applied before buying again.
